These are my kids dressed up in a previous year. We made masks, they wore white and black with spots, they were completely dressed up and we ate there for breakfast, lunch and dinner free! My kids get WAY into it, they work on their costumes for days and so we make the most of the day by going for each meal. It is a fun tradition in the summer for us and it keeps them busy!

Free Kids Home Depot Workshop For July 6th

The Home Depot Free Kids Workshops are a wonderful family fun activity for you to family to enjoy. Your child will love the hands-on experience of building and creating a DIY project. These workshops occur on the first Saturday of every month from 9a-12pm and Yes, We said FREE!

The NEXT Home Depot free kids workshop will be Saturday, July 6, 2019, from 9a-12pm and kids will learn how to build a Tow Truck.

You will want to register your child for each event to make sure they are included in the event and enough supplies are provided for all those who participate.

How to make Candy Cards

We did this for a teacher gift – but a Candy Card for Father’s Day would be a great gift if dad has a sweet tooth!

Just use the phrase below – and insert candy where the words are bold 🙂

We wanted to show our appreciation by giving you 100 Grand, but the money slipped through our Butterfingers. It was not Pay Day so we could not give you a shopping Spree in New York. We thought about an Orbit around the Milky Way but that would cost Extra. So just Take 5 and enjoy your card! We hope it doesn’t make you Rolo ver and get Chunky it it does. We promise not to Snicker!

From your Nerds…

Making a candy card is a really easy and fun way to say thank you! My girls made a few for teachers to go with a little gift they have for them today.

First, take a poster board ( I cut this one in half) and lay out your candy bars on the paper. With a pencil write out the wording you want to use. I just made up mine with the candy bars I could find.

Once you have penciled out your wording, take a marker or paint and do the final draft. Then mark along the side where you want to add your ribbon. I didn’t have a big round punch so I used a hole punch and made a few holes for the ribbon to go through.

Take a ribbon and measure it around the outside leaving extra room for the bow and some “poofs” along the way! Then weave the ribbon around.

Lastly I taped the candy bars on. I have hot glued them before, but it has melted the chocolate and makes it hard to take them off!

They don’t have to be perfect!! Just make it fun!

31 Days of Halloween! {Day 27} Halloween Treat Bags

Well it is October 27th and we are continuing our 31 days of Halloween fun today! We have a lot of cool things planned and free stuff for you guys.

Today we are showing you how to make some epic Halloween Treat Bags at home! There are only a few supplies needed for these Halloween Bags and super frugal craft the kids can even help with!

Supplies:

  • White, Black & Orange Paper Bags

  • Black & White Cardstock

  • Scissors

  • Glue

Instructions:

  1. Print out the Halloween Treat Bag Template.

  2. Cut the template out and trace onto cardstock.

  3. Glue the Ghost, Pumpkin and Skull faces together.

  4. Glue the Ghost, Pumpkin and Skull faces onto white, black and orange paper bags.

  5. Add candy and small toys to the treat bags for a fantastic Halloween party favor!

We have a lot of cool printables for you to decorate your house with this month. I suggest picking up some cheap frames from Dollar Tree. If you do not get the color you want, don’t worry you can always spray paint them, and the cool thing is that because it is for Halloween, the weirder the better they will turn out!

The idea of the printables, is to make it easy to quickly print off an image and hang it up somewhere, big or small to bring a little fun into your home!
