In thinking about the post earlier today about quitting a professional job to be a stay at home Mom, one consideration that many were looking at was health insurance and life insurance.
I just read an interesting article from Genworth Financial who shared this great article Yahoo titled, Why Women Need Life Insurance and there were some really good points to consider…
They talked about Stay At Home Moms providing value – they may not be bringing in a specific dollar amount – but they provide tremendous support taking care of the kids, so what would happen to a family if the mom weren’t able to care for the family anymore?
Here are the three tips to get started:
1 – Go to your Human Resources department to see if you may qualify for life insurance through work
2 – Search online through websites that allow you to compare term vs. life insurance quotes
3 – Ask your friends to recommend a life insurance agent they trust and set up a meeting with that person to walk you through the process, especially if you prefer a more hands-on approach

I agree that everyone needs health insuence , when I quit to stay home with my first I had none . I really missed it, that year I got three kidney infections and had to go see specialist . So now that my husband got it free from his new job I was so thankful.

I am a life insurance specialist and work or State Farm Insurance. There are many different life insurance policies out there. I’d love to help anyone to understand the Term vs Perm(permanent) life insurance.
