I decided to go to Kroger tonight, at about 11 PM. It was really nice, hardly anyone in there at all in Nacogdoches, Texas, about 15 miles up the road. Made for a relaxing shopping trip and I had time to go through all of my coupons and organize what I wanted to buy as I went along. The Brut deodorant is still 10 for $10 and the Sure Deodorant is still 1.25 each. I used my 1.00 coupons for Brut got 10 for free and didn’t have the Sure but it would have been 25 cents. I did find some Gillette Aftershave marked down to 1.99 and I had the coupons for 2.00 3.00 and 6.00 off of 1, 2 or 3 and I cleared the shelf of the 10 they had up there and got all of them for free!!! I had enough razors, now I have enough after shave for hubby and to donate! I should have taken a picture but I didn’t. I also got a great deal on Reach toothbrushes, marked down to 1.25 and I used the 75 cent coupons I had. The lady also took off peelies that were 50 cents off, so they were free. I stocked up on canned veggies, Allen’s 3 for a $1.00. I got Miracle Whip 30 ounce jars on sale for 2.39 for 1.39 after using the 1.00 off coupons from Facebook. I have never shopped the Mega Event before and wasn’t sure how it worked, but I was able to save 30.00 on this trip including all the coupons I used. I found Bumble Bee Albacore Tuna on sale for 1.49 each and I used 1.00 off 2 coupon. I got Hormel Completes 1.79 Mega deal with 1.50 off of 3 and used the Hormel Dinty Moore stew coupons on those that are on coupons.com 1.00 off of 2. They were also on sale for 1.79 in those same containers like the Completes.
I did get great price matching at Wal-mart earlier this week, price matching cereal from Kroger ad. I saved about 40.00 on that trip on Friday.
I went to Brookshire Brothers and got Yakisoba noodles for money maker when doubling the 50 cent coupon. Marked 83 cents, they doubled to 1.00. I also got some canned Chef Boyardee Ravioli on sale for 99 cents with the 50 cents off of 4. I got Heinz 32 oz Ketchup for 99 cents at Brookshire Brothers using the 50 cent off Heinz coupon that doubled to 1.00.
This is my first time back to couponing in about a year and boy have I missed it! My goal was to stock up on some food stuff. I went to Brookshire Brothers and Kroger today for those sales.
I may not have gotten everything perfect on my sales, but I did do pretty good for myself. My Kroger bill started out at 167.00 and I only paid 61.59 at the end of my transaction with the 30.00 off Mega Deal plus all the coupons I used. I can’t remember all of them off the top of my head either.
I love your website and your husbands (but yours is better). I have learned so much from it. My son who is 27 also uses your site and has gotten into the CVS game and is stockpiling health and beauty aides for he and his girlfriend. He showed her how to coupon for her makeup at CVS and wow, she’s got so much for such low prices.
Thanks again for all you do to help all of us save money!
