I ran into CVS again to do the deal with the Dove products thanks to some coupons that Susan W. gave me… mine from June are not cut out and in a stack to get to this week. I am still behind from moving!

Anyway, I also wanted to get the $.69 2 liters, as that is a killer price!

Pretty pleased since the razor alone is $10.50!

My Frugal Adventures posted a great deal on cat litter at Pet Smart. I am posting this deal because my kids are going to go pick some up for the animal shelter in our area! But if you need some for your cat, turn around and use the gift card for cat food!

Purchase $25 in ExquisiCat Cat Litter and get a $25 Petsmart gift card back.  This offer is valid from 6/20-8/21.

This deal is back again, but only open to Spanish speaking US citizens. When you sign up for the General Mills newsletter you get high value coupons and free samples mailed to your home. I tried it but I don’t speak quite enough Spanish 🙂 I can order my food and find a bathroom, that is about it!

This is my little bitty trip to Target today. I was planning on getting a few of the Oral B floss that every one is talking about but…. my coupons beeped and the cashier said “no”. So…. I was not going to argue although the coupon did not say “Glide” there was a picture of the Glide kind, I was using it on any Oral B floss. Oh well.

This is the deal that I did, I did it twice and rolled the $5 GC onto the next purchase of the same thing.

**MUST READ** New barcodes are coming.

We are accustomed to seeing 2 barcodes on all our coupons, well by the end of July that will be coming to an end. That short barcode like the one you see above will be gone. It is being replaced by the longer Databar Barcode.

According to Frugal Finders (thank you for the all the good info!), the DataBar barcode contains much more information than a UPC code does. For example, it accommodates longer manufacturer identification numbers, which check to see if you purchased the correct item. Also, since there is minimal human readable text, this means the end of barcode decoding!

Retailers that utilize DataBar will experience automatic expiration date checking, reduced cashier intervention and improved scan rates. This means your checkout experience should be much less painful and will be faster.

Of course, in order for these coupons to scan, the retailer would need to update their POS system to accommodate the new barcode. Most major retailers like Target and Walgreens already support DataBar barcodes, with other retailers soon to come.

** I am thrilled with the changes, it will be MUCH harder for people (like J’amie from TLC) to commit coupon fraud and use coupons in a way they should not be used. It will also make checkout easier and faster… hopefully!

This is also why the Pop Tarts coupon printed with only 1 barcode.

If you look under 77477 you can find this $.50/2 Pillsbury Toaster Strudels coupon. It has been a little while since I have seen this coupon, I would use it either at Walmart or Randalls where they will double it.
