I just had the opportunity to go to a mini-conference sponsored by Invisalign. Guys, I was COMPLETELY shocked to find out that you can use Invisalign for TEENS!!! Instead of getting the ugly regular braces, they can get Invisalign for just about the same price, and in some cases even less! My Son is going to hate me!
Plus, the average time they have Invisalign is only 9 – 12 months!! My son had his braces on for 2 1/2 years!
Invisalign is a series of nearly invisible, removable “aligners” that are used to gradually straighten teeth without metal or wires. Invisalign is used for treating not just adults but teens as well!
From very simple to very challenging, Invisalign offers a full spectrum of clear aligner treatments for most types of teeth straightening issues.
Invisalign’s treatment capabilities are not limited to mild cosmetic cases. Due tomany advances in its proprietary technology, Invisalign can effectively correct abroad range of more complex cases such as: overly crowded teeth, widely spaced teeth, open bite, crossbite, overbite and underbite.
Invisalign Teen was developed with leading orthodontists who understand the unique treatment and compliance needs of teens as well as their active lifestyles.
Braces are different today because the 21st Century teen is so dramatically different than the teen patient of 10 to 15 years ago. Today’s teens are far more socially aware, technologically savvy, face greater competition and therefore greater stress as they work to achieve educational goals, and are involved in a variety of active contact sports.
Given the busy lifestyles of today’s teens, there’s no time for them to be sidelined with broken braces, or to even be distracted by the discomfort often associated with fixed braces of any kind. Because aligners can be removed, kids can eat, brush and floss as they would normally.
I was so super impressed with the way the Dr. “coaches” the teens how to take care of their teeth, it was really cool!
We have so many kids that are coming up to have braces, I am ABSOLUTELY going to check out Invisalign for each of them!
One thing I did learn: If your dentist tells you that you or your child are NOT a candidate, ALWAYS get a second opinion! AND… check out the cost, it might be the same or even less!
Check it out HERE.
This post was sponsored by Invisalign. I wasn’t even going to post about them but I was really truly impressed! All opinions are my own!

I wore invisalign for 2 years and had a fairly noticeable overbight in addition to a crossbite. My orthodontist (who specializes in hard to treat invisalign cases.) 6 months into my treatment we had to ditch the top invisalign and put an appliance in my mouth to widen it- because the invisalign was not moving my teeth enough.
Thereafter we continued to use the invisalign for another 1.5 years. At one point, my ortho looked into my mouth and said quietly to herself “I sold my soul to the devil.” While I hole heartedly believe she thought the invisalign would correct my crossbite completely, it did not. In the end, my teeth look FAR better than they did before, and I am fairly happy- but here in CA my hefty pricetag was $8k. I can’t help but wonder if the “metal mouth” would have been less expensive (I didn’t compare) and more efficient.
I personally won’t be getting invisalign teen for my two girls who will need braces. If I’m shelling out that kind of money, I want to know with 100% certainty that those are staying in my children’s mouthes! Traditional braces are the only way to to that.
