** Apparently they are only giving this out if you have an AmEx card….
On November 1, (Thats TODAY) FedEx will offer a $25 American Express Shop Small Gift Card forfree to the first 30,000 visitors to sign up at its Facebook page. That’s the best deal we’ve ever seen from FedEx. This offer is valid through November 7 or while supplies last. (It’s a safe bet that this offer will last minutes, not days.) The cards will be issued by November 26. There’s a limit of one card per email address, and two per household. Click here to visit the FedEx Facebook page.

This doesn’t start until 12 pm ET (11 am Central).

November 7th?! lol, please those wont last till 1:07 pm! (unless of course the inevitable server crashes)
Danielle says
thanks for sharing this….but its a joke. you have to have an american express credit card in order to register for the gift card!…..and of coarse i dont 🙁
mandi says
Well that qwas fast.. Site is already crashed.. Anyone get a card?
Ann says
A FYI, you have to have an American Express card.
kacey says
Looks like you have to have an American Express credit card already. Once you register that card and spend $25, then you will get a $25 credit. It isn’t a free no strings attached gift card.
Kimberly T says
It is not a gift card as their website said but is a $25 dollar credit to an American Express credit card to anyone who spends $25 or more at a small business on November 26, 2011.

I know, what a scam!
Trameka says
You have to have a American Express card in order to get this deal. What a rip off and false statement.
Beth says
You have to have an American Express card to get this…thanks Fedex:( NOT!
Susan F. says
It is for Amex cardholders. A LOT of unhappy people commenting on Facebook!
LeAnn B says
I keep trying FedEx on FB and am having trouble registering. Any insights?
Shannon A says
Don’t bother unless you want to be disappointed.
IHeartQpons says
It appears that this is NOT a free gift card giveaway at all. I am beyond disappointed with Fedex. It is a statement credit from the comments I have read, on existing AmEx credit cards. Has anyone else gotten through on this deal?
Shannon A says
What a scam…I’m “unliking” Fedex right now.
Shannon A says
I even read the fine print. Nothing about needing a card or it being a credit.
IHeartQpons says
From Fedex: “FedEx
Hi all – we’re loading the registration for the Amex gift cards now – you will see the form very shortly – sorry for the delay!”
Well I am confused!! It’s 1:22 PM EST.
IHeartQpons says
Just an update for anyone still trying…
it did work for me, although I am awaiting a confirmation email. I tried and the form would not load. I am sure due to the gazillion other people trying. I restarted my computer, and it finally worked. I do think FedEx should be clear about what they are giving away, if anything. There is/was a lot of confusion. And, as a shipping company, I’d think they would work harder at being ON TIME. But, no one can control server crashes, and IT problems.
And to those on FB saying anyone who complains is a whiner and should just be grateful for the “opportunity”….I am grateful, but my time is not worthless, and neither is anyone else’s!
Anne says
This is working. I was able to get one. You do not need an Amex card. Just keep trying.
LynchburgBeth says
What an absolute epic fail (again) for a giveaway! You would think that a company this large would test their systems before heading down this road. My son and I both tried at exactly 1 for probably half an hour and nothing. Then we had to leave and boom..they’re all gone when we get back.

fedx is gone

You didn’t have to have an AmEx card. Apparently they had two promotions running, which was wherein the confusion was. I don’t have an AmEx card, but was able to get the $25 giftcard. I don’t think you have to sign up for anything to get the $25 credit back to your card for the other promo–just shop at a small business after Thanksgiving.
FB was slow and the site was overwhelmed. It finally started working a little after 2 pm but the 30k cards were all gone by 2:20.
Shelly says
FedEx did not give full disclosure about this little stunt, I guess they got alot of attention though.
