Well, we have a few updates to the Best Buy $50/100 coupon. The last day to use this coupon is TODAY and they are only taking coupons that were printed today. Best Buy has also changed the expiration date to end today on any coupons that were emailed yesterday and today.
If you want to read some seriously FURIOUS people, you can head over to Best Buys Facebook page and read all the angry comments.
If you have a coupon, I am not sure that you are going to be able to use it. I would NOT make a special trip, you most likely will be disappointed.
This entire thing has been really bizarre. You issue a HIGH VALUE coupon, don’t tell your stores, call the coupon off, then say it is LEGIT, then change the expiration, add more exclusions, etc. etc. I imagine someone might lose a job or this OR it is a failed marketing gimmick. Either way, someone messed up and Best Buy will be fielding angry calls for a while.
In the mean time, I suggest Amazon! LOL!

I used mine yesterday, and so did my hubby. It was a nightmare. The coupon will only properly scan if there is an item ringing up at $100.., not your total purchase amount. After about 30 minutes the manager (general manager) finally marked one item up to $100 and the remaining items down to total the original total. He said yesterday that yesterday was the last day. They already had signs posted at entrance about Q when we were leaving. So just an FYI to anyone going out to use it today. If you are buying an item priced $100 or more your Q should work fine. If you have items totaling $100 it’s most likely not going to work.

Guess I was lucky. My store not only accepted the coupon but I got to use it on an iPhone 4s which was on sale for 49.99 yesterday ($50 off regular price). So with the coupon I was able to get my iPhone and a LifeProof case (a $69.99 item) and added the Best Buy protection plan. My out the door total was $84 and some change. I read it carefully and when it did not say iPhones were excluded (even though iPods and iPads were) I was finally able to get the phone I wanted. As a single (widowed) mother it was a blessing.

just another example of the really bad customer service I have experienced at Best Buy over the years. I will not willingly shop there now if I can avoid it and still stay in the same price range. Even talking to corporate management with some of my issues has not proven helpful and only more frustrating.

They should have never issued the coupon, period. If what is being reported on the news is true, one person was able to purchase almost $1,600 worth of giftcards and another was able to purchase a ridiculous amount of merchandise for pennies. Don’t they know there is going to be “fraud” going on and people will find ways around the “rules”. Amazon is my place to go for almost anything anymore except milk and eggs. Just more bad news for a company already struggling. Just my opinion!

I’m sure someone will be losing their job over this, but I totally understand the head honchos pulling the plug once they realized what was happening and why.

My store has been a pain about this coupon! They wouldn’t accept it on a gift card (even though the coupon didn’t exclude them), and told me it was only good for 1/21! And they wonder why they are losing business! I will definitely be shopping at Amazon from now on!
