Tif, I tried Birkenstocks a while back–they look a lotlike the ones in your photo–but they absolutely killed my feet. They were expensive and a great
metallic kind of bluish-grey but I never have gotten used to them. They just kill my feet. On the other hand, Dansko and Merrell shoes feel wonderful and I can stand all day in them but hardly a backache and I do have severe osteoarthritis. They are a size 7 if anyone wants them.

Sorry to hear that your feet were killing you. I had Birks for a long time and like Tiffany I looved them and my husband hated them as well. I wear a size 7 now, let me know about yours. I would buy these that Tiffany blogged about but I have kids birthdays coming up and I’m a SAHM and student.
