Zaycon has opened their ground beef event to many parts of the country. To see if your area is included, go HERE login and click on “events”.
The price is $2.89 /lb for 93 %. I called my local Sam’s Club ( 1-45 store) to compare prices. They only carry 80% and 90%. The 90% was $3.18 a pound! The Zaycon price is soooo much better! I am pretty excited about this one!
There are many locations in the Houston area to choose from! If you are in The Woodlands area, the location says Legends, but we are possibly doing it somewhere else depending on how many people order to prevent any waiting like for the chicken!

Here is some info on the ground beef:
• Fresh, Premium, Fine Grind 93/7 Super* Lean Ground Beef
• Comes in a 40-lb case with four 10-lb chubs per case (approximate weight–see note below)
• No chemicals, additives or water added to meat during processing
• Processed at a USDA-inspected, state-of-the-art plant employing strict operating protocols (including HACCP) and the highest in food-safety standards
• Prior to processing, inspectors from the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service randomly sample cattle under a monitoring plan and perform testing for antibiotic residues

Does anyone living in Cypress want to split up a case? There are only 2 of us so it would take FOREVER to go through a whole case! I live around Spring Cypress and Huffmister. Please respond so we can coordinate splitting it up!

I was just about to email you to make sure you got the Zaycon email. I’ve already sent an email to friends to get an order ready.
I suggested to Zaycon after the chicken order that the Football Stadium behind Portofina Shopping Center at Research be used. Surely that would give enough space and ability for in and out.
I’m excited that they have added Conroe to the list. However, it still stinks that it is during the middle of the day!
I ordered 2 cases and paid for it. If anyone wants 1/2 a case I can split it with you. I figure we need about 60 lb for 3 months! I am in The Woodlands.

Is that the price for a case (80 lbs) at Sam’s? I was just at Sam’s the other day and they had the 90% for 2.15/lb. Maybe that is the price if you buy it in a smaller quanity? Just curious. 🙂
Katie, when I called that is what I specifically asked him. He could have given me the wrong price as I usually only buy the large packages not the case. I asked for the very best price I could get and he said it was $3.18 on the 90%. They didn’t carry anything better than that. That was at ours here in The Woodlands, I wonder if yours could be cheaper?
Just checked online and for the 10lb tube is is $3.18 a lb for 90% lean. The site also gives a $2.84 price but doesn’t specify the quantity.
Sounds like he gave you the correct price, at least for our area.
