I used to love Walmart, but have given up. My local Walmart will not take any printable coupons, and always giving me a different reason why. Ibe heard that they dont scan, so they wont take them…that if they scan, but “beep” they wont take them. But yesterday I thought Id give it one more try. I had the $3.00 coupons for the Farm Rich snacks, the Ocello sponges. First the cashier told me the Ocello sponge coupon did NOT go with the the Ocellos that were on rollback. Then the Farm Rich coupon said “no matching UPC family” when it scanned. I had 2 coupons..(I went by the 2 print rule,) and the cashier looked at me and said: “These are photo-copies of coupons, which is FRAUD. Both of these coupons have the same barcode.” I tried to explain…for instance, a coupon in a Smart Source insert is the same coupon and bar code in EVERY Smart Source insert, hence the same barcode on the printable coupon. She told me no..that every coupon is EVERY insert is different, and that was because of people “like me”. I found a manager, who told me that his csrs are trained to spot coupon fraud, and can mke the decision to accept or decline a coupon. And of course, other customers saw and heard all of this, and I left feeling as if I has commited a crime, I was so embarrassed. I dont care if Walmart starts tripling coupons or giving away food for free…I will never step foot inside one again.
Sorry for the rant, but needed to tell SOMEONE.
Ok I need to know which Walmart this was. That is horrible to treat you that way. I know you never want to go again, but PLEASE call corporate and complain. Also PLEASE let us know which store this was as it is not acceptable and we might be able to help.
