Paul over at I Heart The Mart, has a new interesting feature. Each week he takes the CVS and Walgreens ad and finds all the deals that are cheaper on their ads than the prices at Walmart. Then he matches them up with coupons so you can price match at Walmart and save some money.
Some of you might wonder why you would want to do this and not just go to CVS and Walgreens?
- You can get all your shopping done at one place.
- Walmart is closer.
- Some of you get the CVS and Walgreens ads but don’t have those stores in your areas.
For example from the CVS ad:
Cascade powder 75 oz.
Walmart Price $6.32
CVS Price $3.99
Use $0.25/1 Cascade Product, exp. 1-31-11 (P&G 12/26/10)
Pay $3.74

Another reason to price match-no filler items! Although it has to be identical item(I like vague ads-8 to 80 ct, this was bandaid $1.50 off in ad) Also, check your store to see if they ‘Price Match’ competitor coupons. My store will price match-PER NEW POLICY-in ad coupons prices($2.99 w/in ad or $1.50 off w/in ad) Also my store price matches BOGO if it has a price-buy 1 at $2.99 get one free. But they don’t do Give Me’s like Walgreens free after RRs. My store also price matches printable store coupons like Target, this means you can stack. A couple weeks ago they had Scotts tp on sale at Target for $10 and I took the ad in and found out they price matched the price in the ad + the target coupon $2.00= $8.00 then I used a $1.00 manf. 24 double roll Extra Soft Scotts TP $7.00!!!! Seriously, check your store, try to find someone you know so you can get the scoop!!!
