Walmart was NOT hacked this morning when we woke up to insanely low prices as some people are reporting. Apparently there was a “glitch” that has been fixed.
Messages from Walmart are varying as to whether or not they will be honoring the HUGE discounts. MANY people have already picked up their purchases in store, and so got the great deals! I would highly suggest to go pick up your items that have already come into the store or are available for pickup.
Walmart corporate office did say it was a price glitch and the site was not hacked. They also said all orders placed before they caught it will be honored in store for pick up The number to the corporate office is 1-800-966-6456 or 1-800-walmart.
We will be waiting for more updates and I will keep you posted.
I do want to point out that Walmart does not have to honor pricing errors and can cancel your order. I hope they don’t!

I placed my order (Disney Infinity for xbox, $18.03) before they “caught” the glitch. But they did not “honor” it for me. Cancelled. ๐ I was bummed, but I figured it might happen so… oh well… It is frustrating that some orders were honored and others not.

Yes Tiffany, I was reimbursed. I finally got thru to a CS agent and they said all orders were supposed to be cancelled. And we know that didn’t happen. Now I am off to call because I did not receive the “sorry” $10 either. ๐

I haven’t picked up my order yet since I’m still at work, but I have not received an email that it was cancelled. I actually received an email telling me my order is ready for pick up. I shall see when I get off of work.

Oh one more thing. I did order 2 Batcaves and 2 Superman Playsets for about 8 bucks each. (I have tons of little nephews) Looking at my print out and it clearly says ready for pick up. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I also received items are ready for pickup and didnt receive a cancellation email and they refused to fulfill the order after I arrived at the store with email and printout in hand. They gave me an 800 number to call. I was ticked off.

Went to pick up order and wasn’t told it was cancelled just that they couldn’t pull those orders yet. Still haven’t received a cancelation email yet. Mmm wondering if they delaying the bad news. Looked at my account history and its still there ready for pickup. Wish they would just tell me already. Oh well….it is what it is.

My order got canceled. But I’m totally okay with it after finding out it was a glitch. It would seem somehow dishonest to me to still get the items at such a “steal.”

I purchased mine and picked it up with out issue. I did hear when I was picking it up that there was a glitch, but Walmart would honor all orders that had been placed and paid for.

Wasn’t able to get any of the deals(by 9am) because they were already out of stock, but I think Walmart still has a problem with their site because a lot of the “hot toys” are priced $369.99! Yikes!

I just picked up a $100 Lego set I ordered this morning and was only charged $10.99. I would think that if you did site to store and it was already in stock those orders seem to be getting fulfilled easier.

So far I have an order conformation email. It took a few hours to receive that so I hope it is a sign that mine will be honored. My item was not available for store pickup so they have plenty of opportunity to cancel still.

Ok, so I got 2 emails stating that my 2 different orders would be ready to pick up, but not till November 14. How did these people get their things today? I didn’t have that option. So the $ came out for my orders & I checked on Walmart website & it said processing. So I have to wait till the 14 to pick up my things “if” they don’t cancel order? Should I call Walmart & ask? What would u do?

Ordered the 24 inch Flatscreen monitor got an email at 12:30 it was available for pickup. Picked it up 3 hours later no problem for the $8.85 price so some are getting through

They make a very very good point. How would you feel if it happened to you? If you’d feel bad, then maybe you shouldn’t do it to someone else.

It is absolutely disgraceful when people jump in with an opinion and they only have part of the story. No one had any idea that there was a glitch of any kind until later in the day. No one did anything wrong.
