I will be adding a “filler” item into the certain transactions because the RR is a manufacturer coupon, you can not have more manufacturer coupons than you do products! This is where a “filler” will come in. I usually pick a cheap item from the ad to use as the filler.

I have a question: one time at Walgreens I try to use RR to buy different product to get more RR, but I didn’t get the new RR from what I buy, so I asked them, the guys at walgreen said : it’s because you’re playing with RR, so if you RR to buy somethins that will give RR, it won’t work. I think he is wrong but I don’t want to make problem, so I said I don’t want to buy it and left. What do you think what should I do if this happen again. Thank you so much.
He is actually correct. You can’t use a RR to purchase the same item and get a RR back.
ok now i’m confused u can use a RR to pay for a different item and still get the RR for the item purchased? so if i were to use the 2.00 rr from the asprin will i still get the rr for the blink tears? as shown in transaction 1&2 for begginers
Yes, you described it correctly. You just couldn’t use the 2.00 rr from the aspirin to purchase another aspirin.
@Nana If you buy: “product A” & get a RR, then you CAN use the RR from “product A” to purchase “product B”. But you CANT use a RR from “product A” to purchase another “product A”! HOPE THIS HELPS!
Thank you for all the answer, I know I can’t use the same RR to buy same product. I actualy purchased “product A” and use the RR to buy “product B”, but the guy at Walgreens said “you’re playing with RR, it won’t work this way.” , and give me “the look”. I was a little upset about he said “I was palying with their RR system.

I think the biggest problem is that the employees and managers don’t know as much about the coupon policy as we (coupon using customers) do. I personally bring in the corporate coupon policy and I have actually read it to them.
You do have to be careful with Proctor and Gamble products (Crest, Downey, Tide, Covergirl, pretty much the whole store). When you get a RR from any of these products, you can’t purchase another PG product that will give you a RR because the RR says THANKS FROM PG which restricts ALL P&G products not just that one item.
Does that make sense?
I have stopped shopping at Walgreens because of the way they do all this. Between not having advertised items in stock, and the way they do coupons and fight at every turn, I don’t waste my time. They just don’t seem to understand their own machines and policies, and many times, I have walked out paying more than I intended because of computer error, like my coupon didn’t scan, but they kept it anyways, or a deal doesn’t ring up properly, and I don’t find out until I go back through my receipt wondering how it got that high. I hate to say this, but it is just not worth it to me.

Well hang on. A RR *is* a coupon. It is a manufacturer’s catalina coupon. So you can ONLY use 1 coupon per item, they are correct at Walgreens if they are telling you this. This is why we tell you to use a “filler” item so you can use the coupons you want + RR. A “filler” is a very cheap item that you buy and dont use a coupon on so that you can have the same number of coupons as items, including RR. I will do a video on it this week, I think some of you are misunderstanding how to shop at Walgreens.

I usually shop at Walgreens. I am usually there when this one particular cashier is there. She is awesome and lets me do as many transactions as I like. (as long as i’m not holding up the line, plus she is in the beauty section) She will also let me know about deals I did not know about. Since this one is so close to my house I rarley shop at CVS. BUT, I do sometimes get rung up by this grouchy old lady who thinks I’m trying to scam the system. AND then when that whole scandal came out about that Krogers cashier stealing with coupons OH HOLY MOLY she thinks all couponers are scammers now. If she is there and my reg. lady is not, I will only do one transaction b/c grrrrr….. she is frustrating.

Its the store off Tamina/Research Forest. The grouchy lady works the reg. register. She is an older women (about 50-60), a little heavy set and might wear glasses. ( I can’t remember). If a coupon does not work she does not try to find a solution she just calls the mgr. Which makes me uncomfortable and I usually have to “plea my case”. The nice cashier is a younger hispanic (age 35-40) lady with brown hair shoulder length. Works cosmetics. I can’t remember her name but she is awesome! This is the only Walgreens I go to now.
I totally agree with you, I have problems all the time when I use my coupons ,they are not coupon friendly,the hispanic lady is the only nice of all:)
I tried the beginner coupon shopping trip at Walgreens. got through three on the fourth one did not print my $5 for the dove items so manager canceled transaction and said come back later. Tried it at another walgreens and manager said I could only use the RR or the coupons (only 2) so now I have a $10 rr. Overall i liked the experience. Thanks

I had a problem with last transaction. The dove men body and face bar coupon is for 6 bars or more, this is not part of the 4/$15. I used the printed dove hair coupon and everything went as expected. I however shop at a walgreens away from my house due to the staff and management at my neighborhood walgreens are difficult to deal with.
On the 4th transaction can you buy 4 of the same product and us 4 “like” coupons or do you need to buy 4 seperate products with 4 different coupons?
