Today I ran downtown to help Patricia Lopez film a segment for 13 news here in Houston ( will air on Monday) about Walgreens new points program.
I did a few transactions for the camera and so we could test out the program. The coolest thing I thought was the new registers! They were pretty fancy! I was also able just to use my phone number without having to have a physical card. This works best for me anyway.
My total for everything was less then what the regular price is for the diapers!
We did 3 transactions and this is how it went:
Transaction #1
Buy Glade Expressions Starter Kit $2.99
Use the $2/1 printable coupon
Total: $0.99
Get back: $1 RR + $1 RR
Transaction #2
Buy Huggies Slip On $8.99
Buy 2 filler items ( I bought suckers for $1)
Use Walgreens $2 off In store coupon from Sept coupon book
Use $2/1 Huggies Little Movers Slip-On Diapers, exp. 10/13/12 (SS 09/16/12)
Use $2 RR from previous purchase
Total: $4.67
Transaction #3
Buy 2 Stride Gum $2
Use B1G1 Stride ID Gum, exp. 11/10/12 (SS 09/16/12 R)
Total: $1.06

I hardy ever shop at Walgreen’s because I don’t understand when I need fillers. Can you help me understand why you need two fillers for transaction #2? Thank you!!! In my mind I thought you’d just need one, but this is where I usually mess up. 😛 lol! Thanks!!!

Sure! I needed 2 fillers because I was using 2 RR to help pay for the transaction. RR are considered coupons and so you have to have a “product” for them in order to use them! Store coupons don’t count in that, so I used 2 coupons on the huggies ( store and manufacturer ) then I needed 2 fillers to use the 2 RR.
