This week was a weird one for coupons! Some of us got the Target insert and many didn’t. It was also hard to see it so I am wondering if it accidentally got tossed in some cases.
I called the Houston Chronicle to see what the deal was and why it was “missing” from some papers.
What happens, is that some retailers pick certain zip codes in which to put their ads and coupons. This week Target only picked certain zips to carry the Target coupon insert in. It didn’t matter what day you got the paper or if it was delivered or not, it was your zip that controlled who got the coupons. Yuck.
This happens often, many times we don’t even realize it. We all just wanted the Skippy coupon this week and that is why we saw it. It is like sending out a mailer for a business, you can go in and find out the demographics for each area and only target the ones you want. That is what Target did this week and I have no idea what they were looking for! The paper also said there was not a way to get the insert if it was not delivered, they only have so many. 🙁

Unfortunatley all that is correct. What you can do is contact your local Target and request that include your zip code in future inserts. It is not guaranteed that they will do it but that is something that we always tell our callers to do.

Was it a home delivered paper or did you buy it at a store or from a rep on the street?

Home delivery should have recv’d them based on the zip codes purchased. If you purchased one in that same zip code coupons and certain inserts are not guaranteed. 🙁

I get home delivery in 77381 and received no insert. Boo.
I live in 77381, ordered 4 papers, and received 4 target inserts.
I live in Houston 77095, and I got the Target coupons.

No they do not specify street. If you both live in the same zip you should have recv’d it.
Rachel was yours a late delivery or a redelivered paper??? If not your carrier/distributor may have missed inserting it in your paper. They put them together maunally and bag them as well…
Mine was regularly delivered. Maybe the carrier didn’t insert it. I have another paper delivered to a friends house in 77384 so ill check on that when I pick up the coupons. He reads the paper, I get the coupons! Maybe there are different zones in 77381.
I live in IL n I did not get one. I also don’t get alot of the mailers that you do. I love Target!!!!!!

77378 didnt get it 🙁 and i re-searched after u posted pic last night just to make sure i didnt miss it lol
I am in the 77373 zip code, only one of my papers out of the 4 that I have delivered on Sundays had the target coupons! I looked 3 times through them just to make sure I didnt miss it.
I am in zip 77386 and did not get in my home delivery
I am in 77429 and did NOT get it in my home delivery but DID get it in three newspapers that I purchased from a Walgreens within the SAME zip code (77429). Go figure that one out.
77459 got the insert
i got it in 90278 but then went down the st about 2 min drive to purchase it and it wasn’t included.

Ok….my 77384 paper had the Target insert….go figure!
We are in Utah 84075 – didn’t receive it in our delivered papers. I don’t know about each of your areas – just an fyi – at Target here they ALWAYS have milk on sale for $1.99 even though everywhere else it is $2.38+
I live in 30529 Commerce,Ga. and pick my sunday paper up at newstand. I got Target coupons but never go to Target they are 30 minutes away i shop more local. i’ m new at this couponing liveon fixed income. I have alotof coupons I dont use. Would love to share what i dont need….
77505. Got two papers, one had the Target insert, the other didn’t.
I got my paper from the gas station and I got two target inserts. I guess I just got lucky.
If someone could help explain the inserts in the paper business to me… do they come presorted/stacked and they just stuff them into the paper or do they collate them? We are 77354. I get 6 papers and did not receive a single Target coupon flier and I shop there ALL the time…. 🙁

77306 and I didn’t get them.
