I went to check out and used the code and this disclaimer pops up. “Coupon Codes- By using this coupon code, you certify that you are the intended recipient of this promotion and have not obtained this code in an illegal or unethical manner, including but not limited to, distribution from internet sites, unauthorized distribution of a limited code and reuse of another individual’s code.”
That did not happen for me. It says not for resale, on ebay amazon etc.

I put an item in my cart that was $69.99 and entered the code. The discount is not showing up for me. Is it suppose to? It wants me to give payment info but scared to if they are going to charge me $69.99 🙁

@ Robin- Some how you have more than 1 item in your cart maybe. That’s what happend to me. Empty your cart, clear your cache on your computer, phone whatever you’re using and try to place your order again.
Yea the code worked for me but when it came time to place the order it just loaded forever…i personally think it was a private code and the company noticed it was released publically and are trying to correct the problem (i.e. no new orders going through)
Has anyone got to the end and submitted their order, then on the bottom right the circle keeps spinning and it says “submitting order information”? I have done it and it just keeps saying that. I told my nephew and niece and they have had the same issue. Has anyone successfully placed an order and if so….did you get a confirmation? Thanks everyone!!

I was able to get headphones for my husband and for my son! The website was so slow. At first I was sad that I wasn’t able to pass the place order page and then the page took me to the homepage. 15 min later I received an email telling me about my order number. How exciting!! Thanks
Took a long time and several attempts (would make it to the end just to be kicked out) but finally went through! Yeah! I didn’t need to put card info because my total was a little less than 69.99

It took a while for me also and I didn’t even get a confirmation page when it went through (actually it gave me an error). But within 20 mins I got an email confirmation of the order. I saw that disclaimer as well though so not sure if that applies?
this actually worked! I got a confirmation and everything! I found this from my friend and I double checked (and finding this page) I completed the order process and it all looks real! if not real, then a VERY elaborate hoax…

I put 4 things in the cart and the discount worked for me but I’m really leary about putting in my CC info; my total was $1.30. You know the “too good to be true” theory. WHY would they give a $69 discount? Has anyone ever heard of them doing this before?

I got a second email this morning saying that it is “Processing”.
I just got off the phone with Skull Candy becuase my order did not go through. They said that the promo code was sent out frauduently and that there was nothing they could do. Do you know if this is true Tiffany?
No, Paul called earlier today right when they opened and they said it was one per household. They do not “accidentally” send out promo codes. What happened was more were redeemed then they planned on, so then they start canceling orders.
Are they saying an employee sent out a coupon code fraudulently? Sorry, I just reread what you wrote. If that is the case, they should be honoring it.
They did not say who sent the code out frauduently, just that it was. I live withing five minutes of the Skull Candy headquarters and buy from them becuase it is a local company and am very suprised that they are responsding in this way.
I really wonder what is going on. They offered Paul our own coupon code and are supposed to be calling us back, so they were willing to give one out.

Just got an email stating my order was cancelled and that the coupon codes used was now part of a fraud investigation.
This has happened so many times in the past year with companies, they are not expecting as many people to use it that do and then they back out and cancel orders and say that magically it was a “fraudulent” code. To say that it was a fraudulent code is poor business on their part, it makes them look bad that they would create a code to work with their system and then not honor it, blaming it on an employee.
Other companies that have done this recently are Totsy and One Kings Lane.
Yeah I got the same e-mail. And it actually makes me mad cause if it was a fake coupon then why would it go through there system.
Thats what I am thinking.
Make sure they don’t charge you. I have $123 still pending form them in my account. I ordered a bunch of stuff!
So, last night I got the email that it was complete and shipped. About an hour ago I get another one saying all orders are cancelled. My order still says complete when I log into my account, so who knows what is going on.

I just called them to express my concern and they hung up on me saying that the owners of this blog are liars and that they “stole” this warranty code from someone. I KNOW that is not true, but just wanted to pass on the info they are giving us. BAD BUSINESS!!

Have any of you dealt with this company before? I’m pretty sure it is a code that one person has leaked on the internet thus invalidating it. Not to mention a company owns the code and has the right to revoke it if there is fraudulent activity. Skullcandy is a local company and has given out more products free to kids than any other i’ve experienced. You should support them and pay for product rather than accuse them of lying about something that wasnt intended for the general public in the first place. Skullcandy has always been generous to my family when it comes to getting things replaced and taken care of. I suggest people do their own research before trusting an online blog.
My husband called and talked to Skullcandy Wednesday morning and was told that the code was a one time use code (per person) that would not work if it was not valid. I am sure that Skullcandy is a great company. I also purchased a bunch of product that day and have $140 still pending from them in my account. I have not received an email from them yet. I would suggest Skullcandy educating their employees so that when people call to verify their coupon codes, they can give them the correct information.
My friend also ordered from this company using the same code we all used from this site. Today I received the same “order cancellation” email as many of you did. However my friend received an “order confirmation” email which stated her order would be shipped. I think it is unfair to let only some people receive their orders and not everyone. If there was truly a fraud committed it was not on our part. I would just like to know since they are cancelling our orders, will they also be deleting our contact information from their database? After all, they did ask for our names, addresses, and email addresses when we placed our orders. If they are not going to keep up their end of the deal then I don’t want any further contact with this company and I don’t want them selling my contact info. to anyone else.
I too received 2 emails confirming my order with confirmation number # etc. I then received the same email as everyone else stating that this was a fraudulent code now being investigated and that my order has been cancelled.
Did anyone receive their order? I didn’t receive mine, but someone on a board I belong to posted that she received one of her orders today.

That’s what I thought! Definitely not fair if they only honor SOME of the orders. That would surely make me never want to order from them again! I did go back and look at her posts from last week and she said on Friday that she had received the cancellation email, so who knows what’s going on with these orders.
I am sure they are all cancelled. I would be really surprised if anyone got anything.
This is sooo weird, I did receive my order today, but when I tried to check on it a few times, it said I had no account so I figured it just never went through becuase I did it late at night. the site was SOOOOO slow and super busy, I just clicked submit and after what seemed like forever, I went to sleep. Assuming no order was coming, no big deal, opened my mailbox today and got a surprise. weird. but lucky I guess…or are they going to come reclaim it now??
A few others are now reporting to have received their orders as well. It seems that the people who are receiving theirs say that their accounts still say “processing”. While those whose orders say “complete” and show as shipped have not received one.
I actually received and order and so have most of my friends. I did receive the cancellation notice as well but I ordered 4 and got 3 of the yesterday. So they are still being sent out. Personally I think it was an advertising ploy.

I actually called them yesterday and asked why only some of the orders were being fulfilled and not all of them. He said that 99% (yeah right) of the orders were stopped and 1% snuck through before they caught the problem. Between my family, my in-laws, and my parents we had 6 orders and not one has been received. Oh well, I have now learned what their customer service is truly like and I will not purchase one of their products again.
