Today on Fox26 I talked about ways to save when going on vacation. I used daily deal sites and internet deals to go to San Antonio this year for spring break. We have not taken the kids to Disney and have been trying to figure out a plan for a while now. If you go HERE you can get a Disney Planning DVD to take a look at to get some ideas.

Part comedian, part Dad, part athlete. He will boss around your children while they play ball.
Just as angelic as she looks, this girl could easily raise a Village by herself, and all the children would grow up to be President.
Self proclaimed, she would be a webkinz dog. Because, "they're cute, and puppies are too. And they're sweet and they always get along with other puppies."
This mini-Martha Stewart can handle ANY craft you send her way. She isn't all bows and rainbows, she's got karate kid moves!
Not "Pick-Me-Up" like caffeine, she wants you to pick her up! AND NOW!
Anything that can be destroyed WILL be destroyed!
Practically Perfect in Every Way for now! Nicknamed "The Panda" she is rolly polly and lives by the motto, "the little one, is KING!"
The resident Labradoodle, Miller got his name because Mom won and got to name the baby! Need something chewed up? He'll take care of it. Especially if it's expensive..
I saw your segment this morning. I never thought to check other cities with groupon. Great advice.
Now Disney is something I know about. I HIGHLY recommend getting The Unofficial Guide to WDW. It is crammed full of great information and tips to save money. You can rent a house right outside of WDW for extremely cheap. As many bedrooms as you need. We were using All star vacation homes. So cheap. Staying at the resorts is great, but if your looking to save moolah, then rent a house right outside of the world. Bring your meals and snacks (as many as you can) and try to get to the park at opening everyday. I could go on and on about WDW, but I won’t. It’s a wonderful place to take the kids. They will remember it forever. We went in December and my girls still talk about it. My four year old asks when we are going back. LOL
Also, we drove there from Pearland and it took one whole day, 9am to midnight with stops but def. worth saving the money. Happy planning!
If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Vee- I would like to chat with you if possible about WDW. We have been trying to plan a trip but dont want to spend a fortune. Thanks!!
I will be happy to help! I love talking Disney, especially since we can’t go this year because our 6th baby is due soon! Feel free to email me! octnjen@comcast.net
We LOVE going to Disney World, people don’t understand how we can go once a year with 5 (almost 6) kids. It is easier then people think and MUCH less costly. First, do NOT go through Disney itself. OUCH! Our first trip was our honeymoon 11 years ago and we spent more on that trip then we did the last time we went with 5 kids! Do NOT get the park hopper, if you plan correctly you won’t need it. Stay ON PROPERTY, especially if traveling with kids! Get the food plan- so worth it! And the best tip…. research and find out how to buy “point” from people who own Disney Property. This is how we do it. We just sold our points this year (baby coming in 2 months can’t go! :o( We ended up getting $3000 for them BUT saved the family over 1/2 what their hotel would have cost! There are many ways! Also, http://www.mousesavers.com WONDERFUL site! Good luck! Disney is so wonderful!
Go through undercovertourist.com. I bought a 6 day pass for disneys rate of a 4 day.
http://www.homeaway.com Vacation home rental site. We never stay in hotels-its much cheaper for our family of 7 to rent houses when we go on vacation. We went to Disney last Christmas for 7 days and or total cost was less than $3000. I planned it for a year. Best vacation EVER.
