Thanks to Peg B. for making my entire day better!
I have MOUNTAINS of laundry to do. HUGE day at work tomorrow. My house is TRASHED. Etc. Etc. Etc.
But for 1 hour tonight I plan on sitting on the couch and watching T.V. Two of favorite things in life will be colliding together at the same time! The Pioneer Woman will be on Throw Down with Bobby Flay!
See for those of you with a life, this is not that exciting for you. For me, who has no life, this is like the Superbowl!
It all started when I had one of my kids ( I can’t remember who, that happens to me!) and I was up all night nursing a baby and got hooked on Throw Down with Bobby Flay. It is a fun show, and I love to cook! Then I was nominated for a blogging award and I looked to see who the other 8 bloggers were… Oh and one was this little site called THE PIONEER WOMAN!
I got hooked reading her recipes. Then she put out a cookbook and came to Houston. We HAD to go see her! Thats my cookbook above! (Hint… they make GREAT Christmas Presents! )
This is my sister getting photographed by Pioneer Woman, Anna had drawn here a picture of PW husband. It was AWESOME!
And this picture is of my friend Suzanne who hates to have her picture taken and is going to kill me! Hi Suzanne! 🙂
Anyway, tonight on The Food Network, Bobby Flay is challenging The Pioneer Woman to a throw down. O.K. Really, just typing that out and reading it sounds like the dumbest thing ever… I really am that nerdy!
Am I alone in my excitement? Anyone? Someone help me, tell me I am not crazy!
You can read my post about the book signing HERE.

Part comedian, part Dad, part athlete. He will boss around your children while they play ball.
Just as angelic as she looks, this girl could easily raise a Village by herself, and all the children would grow up to be President.
Self proclaimed, she would be a webkinz dog. Because, "they're cute, and puppies are too. And they're sweet and they always get along with other puppies."
This mini-Martha Stewart can handle ANY craft you send her way. She isn't all bows and rainbows, she's got karate kid moves!
Not "Pick-Me-Up" like caffeine, she wants you to pick her up! AND NOW!
Anything that can be destroyed WILL be destroyed!
Practically Perfect in Every Way for now! Nicknamed "The Panda" she is rolly polly and lives by the motto, "the little one, is KING!"
The resident Labradoodle, Miller got his name because Mom won and got to name the baby! Need something chewed up? He'll take care of it. Especially if it's expensive..
Not alone at all! I’m super excited too! When I was up nursing my baby and couldn’t sleep, I read her story – loved it!
You’re not crazy! I HAVE to read PW’s blog everyday (and yours, too..:). I cook lots of her recipes and for sure I’m watching also tonight.
I love Bobby Flay! We went to see him when he came to Barnes and Noble the other day. He had a book signing there. I love Throwdown! and I am sure that it will be great with the Pioneer Woman on it!
Thanks for the info, I just went and set my DVR to tape it! I am making most of my thanksgiving dinner from her recipes this year!
Thanks for the reminder! I just started clicking on links on your post and got sucked into her blog. Then I was like, wait, how did I end up on pioneer woman! Ha Love reading her blog!
I love PW and BF, too, so I’m really excited as well!
Unfortunately, my husband is recording Border Wars and Criminal Minds at the same time, so I won’t be able to watch Throwdown until they replay it at 11!
I love the Pioneer woman, I’ll be setting this to record!
NO! SOOO exciting. I messaged you on facebook that I recently got her book & was in LOVE! She is a killer cook with Mommy chops to boot!
They’re replaying it at 11? OK, I am so there!
Why didn’t someone tell me that I didn’t get all of my hair curled in the back? … either that or my hair fell since it’s so straight. haha.
