It has recently been my experience that a deal such as the one listed for the ibuprofen will not work at Target unless the value of the product exceeds the value of the coupon. It has always worked before so I am not sure if something has changed? (I have been reading of others having this same experience.) According to the Target coupon policy it states,” coupon amount may be reduced if it exceeds the value of the item after other discounts or coupons are applied.”
I spoke with a corporate representative regarding using coupons that state “coupon value may not exceed value of item purchased” I was told that the policy wording “may” is their disclaimer and can be used at their discretion. I was also told that this is also only to be used in conjunction with other coupons as stated in the policy.
I have not had any trouble using Target coupons on items that are less then the coupon value.
I too had not had problems with coupons exceeding the value of an item at Target until recently. A Target cashier would not adjust the price down and refused to take more than one target cpn. I was told the wording has always been on the coupon and corporate is coming down on them to enforce it. Have you heard this? Is this happening to others?
It should not be the wording on the coupon they are having a problem with, I thought they were saying it was corporate saying that? They are so all over the place it is really hard to tell.
If you go to the Litter Genie website you can print a $5 manufacturer coupon and stack with the $3 Target coupon.
