Friday is Mega Swagbucks day, that means that you should get more bucks today doing searches. Swagbucks is how I have paid for much of my kids Christmas the past few years by earning Swagbucks and redeeming them for Amazon gift cards.
Here are a few things to remember:
- You can only redeem 5 of the same prizes a month. I like to get the $5 Amazon gift cards, but I can only get 5 a month ($25) so I need to make sure I plan on being able to cash all those in by December.
- Swagbucks pays out or credits your Swag account with your gift cards 2x a month on the 1st and 17th. If I want to use my gift card for a certain date I need to make sure I cash my swagbucks in ahead of time or I might not get them in time.
- All I have to do when my Amazon gift card is credited is go to my Swagbucks account (click on your name at the top right), go to “my gift cards”, type in your password, then you will see your gift cards that you can redeem. Now I just go to Amazon, “my account” and then “add gift card”. Now I just copy and paste the code from Swagbucks and it is added to my Amazon account. Then when I shop at Amazon I have the option of using that gift card.

I am loving swagbucks and have earned a lot of gift cards that I’m kind of saving for Christmas. I did try to use a Lands End $100 card I’d earned yesterday and couldn’t figure out which part was the code. Any thoughts?

I forgot about the $5 amazon giftcards Do they automatically get credited to your account?
I was saving my swagbucks for that $50 gift card from Amazon and realized that if I just cash in the $5 ones its cheaper. It costs 2250 swagbucks for 5 $5 card. The $25 is 3150 swagbucks. Its better to get the $5 ones and not save for the bigger ones.
I’ve gotten a lot of those little “free” $5.00 Amazon cards so it’s hard to complain…….BUT I am not liking the new search format with the “ads” in little itty bitty print for the first 5-10 entries and then the “web” searches in the middle of the page and then more “ads” at the bottom. You can hardly see the delineation of which are ads and which are the web searches. It can also take longer to get through the pages because of this
