I have been hearing a lot about the new Savings Star program and I wanted to get a little more information before I posted about it. I have been doing some research and it looks like a really good program, I also have a friend who has been doing it and is getting paid from them.
This is how it works:
Savings Star has ecoupons that can be added to your store’s loyalty card (like you already do with Cellfire etc.) and when you purchase that product at participating stores (CVS, Rite Aid, Albertsons, Dillon’s, Kroger, Ralph’s and many more stores) the eCoupon amount is added to your Saving Star account. When you reach $5, you can redeem your savings for Paypal or Amazon gift cards.
It is easy to do:
- Sign up for Savings Star HERE and add you stores loyalty card numbers (you can find these usually on the back of your cards)
- Click and add ecoupons to your account
- Go shopping and when you purchase an item that had a Savings Star coupon, the coupon amount will be paid back to you!
- When you get $5 or more in your account cash it out for cash via Paypal, your bank account or for Amazon gift cards!
This is a great way to be able to “stack” more coupons on items you buy. You CAN use a paper coupon along with Savings Star.
There are 24,000 stores that work with Savings Star, including CVS and Kroger in my area!

Can the Savings Star e-coupons be stacked with a manufacture paper coupon for the same product? THANKS!

So I went to the website to check it out. I think I am a bit confused. When you scan your loyalty card that has the savings star coupons loaded to it, if you are buying that item, it wont deduct the savings star coupon amount? It just keeps a total of what savings star coupons you have used and then sends you the coupon amount back in whatever way you choose. And thats why you are still able to use the paper coupon along with it?? I hope this question doesnt sound confusing. Just trying to understand better! Thanks!
Tiffany says
Nope! That is correct!!
Sharra says
Thanks!! 🙂

And we can stack these at Kroger too? I thought Kroger didn’t let you do that anymore.
Tiffany says
Yes you can, because no coupon is coming off at the time of purchase. It is credited to your account.

The website doesn’t seem to be working well today. I can’t load my cards into their system 🙁

Just FYI…I have been doing this for a couple of months now. It takes FOREVER for the things you bought to show up in your account. Everything I have bought has taken at least 2 to 3 weeks. So, don’t go home thinking it will be there already. I eventually wrote customer service and they basically said “be patient” and sure enough…it eventually showed up. 🙂
