Look what they had at a Sams Club by me! I might have gotten a little too excited, but I live in the city and don’t get to see a chicken coop that often. I was soooooo tempted to buy one! I have always wanted chickens!
The chicken coop was $300.
Do you have chickens? Do you like them? How hard are they to take care of? Is that a good price for a chicken coop?

I just moved from VA and we had chickens there. THey were easy to take care of just feed and water and occasionally clean the coop and lay new hay. Depending on how old they are when you buy them you may have to wait for eggs or not. If you start with eggs then its a little bit more work due to keeping them in proper lights and yada yada…. Ultimately my daughter LOVED IT! She named one Nuggets and we just loved getting the colored eggs… our favorite was the blue ones!

My brother-in-law has chickens. He loves them. My sister hates them. They are up at dawn, and the rooster is LOUD!
How sturdy is that chicken coop? I was thinking it would be great for my cats – a way to let them outside but still keep them safe. No, they would not live in the coop. It would be their recreational area.
Thanks!

It was up high so I didn’t get to shake it 🙂 It was at the Sams by Greenspoint.

Whoa! That’s actually a really good idea! Our inside cat is obsessed with wanting to go outside…something like this would work amazingly!

Get the chickens… you won’t be sorry. They are one of the easiest animals to take care of. Feed and water once a day. Clean out the coop once a month and the coop doesn’t stink! It gets more of an ammonia smell. I have 7 chickens and get 5 -7 eggs a day. Way better than store bought.

Chickens are so fun!!!! Great pets! They are great with our kids, and super easy to take care of! That’s a great deal!!

When my husband first wanted chickens…I was hesitant! I love them now! Last summer they kept all the bugs (mosquitos included) away so we got to enjoy a bug free back yard! (That alone was worth it. Where we live they seem to swarm!) They also would help “weed” the garden by picking out grass (my husband also didn’t have to mow all summer either). They have such sweet personalities and nothing compares to a fresh egg! We only have hens here so I can’t tell you about roosters, but I hope you guys are able to get some :). I have nothing but good things to say about them!

We live in a regular neighborhood in Phoenix, I don’t know if we were allowed to have chickens, but we did. They were so much fun and we loved having fresh eggs, it was like a treasure hunt everyday! However, what a mess they were! Poop on every patio and walkway. Plus, they can fly a little so fences did not confine them. They started getting out of the yard and wandering by the street so we go rid of them so they wouldn’t get hit by a car. The chickens were not a lot of work, but their mess was!
