This dinner is called, “Mom is tired, home late from work, and can’t think of anything to make”. The kids call it, THEIR FAVORITE MEAL EVER!
This casserole is called Pizza Casserole, I am not even really sure why, there are some pizza elements in there but not really enough to call it Pizza Casserole. My Grandma made this all the time when I lived with her and I really like it, in fact it is one of those meals that I have not found a person who does not like it. The best part is that I ALWAYS have everything that I need to make this recipe on hand!
** Like my ground beef? That took me forever to package, but I am glad that I did! It is the stuff I ordered from Zaycon.
This entire meal cost under $15 to make for 9 people. That is less than $2 per serving, with a salad and bread, you can’t beat that, plus it is home made food and you are eating together!
I Double mine, and put it in a 9×13. This recipe is for a 8×8.

3/4 cup mozzarella cheese(shredded)
Directions

Just as angelic as she looks, this girl could easily raise a Village by herself, and all the children would grow up to be President.

I am assuming that it is supposed to be a 1/2 tsp of salt? Sounds Yummy! I was looking at your Garlic Knots recipe the other day, bet they would go great together!
YEs! It is!
Perfect! Thanks Tiffany! Was looking for a new recipe to inspire me AND a recipe to use some of my Zaycon ground beef (great stuff!). Once again – you’ve come through! 🙂
Looks amazing! But- before it stays on here too long – I think the amount of salt is a typo – I’d guess it should be 1/2 tsp not 12 tsp.
I’m definitely trying it tonight!
Oh dear , yes it should be!
Looks yummy! I have everything here accept for the egg noodles.. think it would taste the same with Macaroni noodles? I have a ton of them! Lol
I am sure it would, the texture would be a little different and it would not be as light, I think the macaroni will be good but thicker
We called this recipe chilli mac when I was a kid. Follow the same recipe but use elbow macaroni instead of egg noodles. Its MMMMMMMMM both ways!
I make this but I also had in one package of mini pepperoni. Its so easy and good!
Is the recipe above doubled? Or is thar a regular 1 meal ingredient list? Hoping to make it in the next week or two. Thanks 🙂 finally feeling like xmas in Houston!
it is a single, I double that
I make this too, but with a jar of spaghetti sauce and fusilli pasta. Its YUM!!
I layer mine, like lasgana and add pepperonis. My husband’s aunt gave me the recipe after she fixed it for my mother in law’s funeral. It’s a family favorite and she makes it for the reunion each year.
