This is one of my family’s FAVORITE weekend and holiday appetizer. Olive Bread. Since you should be picking up some free cans of Olives this week at CVS and really cheap at Walgreens, this would be a great recipe to add to the menu!

This recipe is SUPER easy and you can adjust it to what you think your family will like. I would suggest making it the first time the way I have posted and then going from there.

Chop 14oz can of black olives
Chop 6oz. of green olives with pimento’s

Chop 3 stalk of green onions

Shred 1lb of Monterey Jack cheese

1 stick butter softened
1/2 cup real mayo

Combine all ingredients together. Now, you can do this a day ahead of time and put it in the fridge until you need it. Or, make it right away!

Cut one loaf of crusty french bread in half.

Smother each side with the mix.

Bake at 350 for about 15min. then turn on the broiler and brown the top until golden!
Not a single bit will be left! I was almost too late for a picture!

OMG, this looks so good. Just curious, where did you get the bread from?

It was a plain loaf of french bread from Kroger.

Is there a printer friendly version? I’ve been seeing this one on here for a while and I’m finally going to try it! Thanks!

I’m not a huge fan of olives but this looks delicious! Is there anything that can be subbed in for the olives?

Gosh I don’t know! You could just leave them out. What about mushrooms?

I think leaving them out might be good! Like a cheesy bread.
