If you have been to my house for any occasion, you know that you are more than likely going to find this on my kitchen island. Also, if you have asked me to bring an appetizer, I probably brought this. Not because it is super easy, fairly inexpensive, and really good. But because it is my VERY FAVORITE APPETIZER!
This is all you need, no cooking involved, you pretty much just have to be able to open a package….
Cream Cheese and Jalapeno Jelly Appetizer
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
- 2/3 cup jalapeno jelly (red or green)
- cracker
Directions:
-
Open the brick of cream cheese and place it on a plate.
-
Spread the jelly evenly over the top. Serve with a small knife for spreading or use a hearty cracker that will not break.

Where can i buy the jalapeno jelly?
Tiffany says
Any grocery store or even sometimes the drug stores. Also Target and Walmart have it. Just look either by the BBQ sauce or the regular Jelly.
I also like the HEB kind as well!

I used to do this all the time but now I can’t find jalapeno jelly anywhere. No local groceries, Walmart, Wegman’s, nothing. I’d have to order it online, pay extra, and then pay shipping. I gave up.
Good luck in your area!

In answer to your dilemma, I go to the craft shows at Christmas time and we have a couple from a nearby town who makes the jelly and sells it. There are usually a lot of people who sell this sort of thing at the craft shows during the holidays. Good luck!

So, is the cream cheese supposed to be softened or is this cold?
Tiffany says
Both… Just take it out of the fridge and put it on the plate. Add the jelly and you can start eating, as it sits there it will soften!

I love this, it is always so yummy. I had a friend turn me on to using a rasberry & Chipolte sauce (usually found in the marinade section) on cream cheese it too is fantastic!

I just tried this as a snack….YUM! I love spicy things, but I think any would like it. There was hardly any heat, so let the word jalapeno scare you away.
