12 Days of Christmas Cookies – Day 8 – Chewy M&M Sugar Cookies Recipe

12 days of christmas cookiesDay 8 of my 12 Days of Christmas Cookies, which is taking a little longer then 12 days, but thats ok, are M&M Sugar Cookies.

This is a little different recipe calling for oil and butter. The dough is really yummy and the cookies are FANTASTIC, in fact I made a bunch of just plain cookies and I think they were almost more popular!

With cream cheese, oil, butter and rolled in sugar, these were so chewy and good, I think this is my favorite so far!

M&M Sugar Cookies

If you add a few M&M’s to the top after they have baked, the M&M’s wont crack. Just as soon as they come out of the oven push a few into the top.

I have to say , that one of my very favorite things about you is that you are so normal and real! With five children I often do things longer and later, although not always by choice…:) I figure if my life is so lovably full that things take a little longer to accomplish, then so be it! How encouraging that your cookie list is stretching longer, it warms my heart! Thanks!

That makes me feel better as well…. I had big plans. But life got in the way and my 12 days should have been “a month of christmas cookies, every few days!” :)

good thing I didn’t throw away all those little bags of m&m’s leftover from Halloween. I was thisclose. I forgot to buy parchment paper while I was out today, have you ever tried making them without it?

Do you not put any M &M’s into the batter? Are we only pushing them into the top when done baking?

Just curious, but what is the difference between bleached and unbleached flour? Do the cookies come out differently?

Ok. Stumbling on a problem or maybe I am just not reading the recipe right. 2 oz of cream chz cut into 8 pieces?? That’s like tiny slivers. Is this so it stirs better with the sugar? What am I missing?
