When you have the chance, look over at the CIC, the Coupon Information Corp, if you ever want to know if a coupon is legit. This coupon has been floating around for a little while, although I did not post any deals using it, I very easily could have. It looks very legitimate.
It takes a lot of work to put together deals and check all the links. This one apparently printed like a “bricks” coupon and even had “bricks” in the URL. Checking the URL is one of the ways that I use to make sure a coupon is legit. If you have any of these coupons please destroy them!

Oh my gosh, thanks for posting! I have 2 of these coupons and I just destroyed them as soon as I read this. Before I did though I examined it a bit and can’t believe how real it looks. They had size restrictions, warnings of coupon fraud, etc. But as I was reading the fine printed noticed a typo so that definetly gives it away. Whew. I’m soooo glad I didn’t use these!!
Seriously scary. When that coupon first was out didn’t you think it was weird with all the wording also? I should have known then!
How naive am I? I had no idea coupon fraud was so prevalent! Those coupons look real. I could easily see myself thinking they were legit! Thanks for the heads up!
Sooo glad I haven’t found a use for those coupons yet…I even called my sister-n-law when I found that coupon and told her to print it quick before it disappeared! I had no idea it was fraudulant…thanks for letting us know!
Oh man! I lucked out! I was gonna use this coupon today, but forgot it at home!!! It’s scary how real it looks!!! It’s a good one too…..I guess that’s the point of coupon fraud! I’m glad I forgot it!
So Tiffany,
How do we tell if a coupon is fraudulent? I had no idea that this even happens! I started couponing a few months ago.. What happens is someone uses one not knowing it is fradulent?
I’m so glad you posted this because I tried to use this coupon at my Target Store and it kept saying invalid coupon donot use…the cashier and I had know idea what was going on, so I told him to call the manager, who begin to talk to me like a thief and said this is a fake coupon and I was like what are you talking about and she says,”hackers sit at home and make these coupons up and hack these systems and Target systems, ma’am. and this conversation was very Loud. So as i shrunk 4ft below the counter i said i’m so sorry to here that and i’ll take those coupons back, And I got the heck out of that store as quick as I could, I was terrified I didnt no what to think or do. So that is my store and every time I saw a coupon that look like that, I said no thank you. Now I’m afraid to print coupons from online. But I feel better with this information. Thank you.
yep, I have it too! thanks!
I used two this morning before I read this…. I didn’t have any idea because they certainly looked real to me. I thought if I got them through the bricks site then they were “verified.” These have been out there for awhile so I am sad to just hear about them. The manager came over and told the guy to ring them up and they were good.
OMG! I have two of these coupons too! I was going to use them at CVS but now destroying them! I printed them from a website with a link and it was from a coupons.com link…now I’m scared to do anything…are the ones even printing from bricks.coupons.com legit or are these the counterfeit ones?
This is so strange because I printed that coupon from coupons.com. If they aren’t legit from that site how are we to know if coupons are or aren’t legit?
that coupon was from “bricks” not coupons.com. Someone made copies of it and THOSE are the counterfeit ones!
So, if we printed this coupon from bricks.coupons.com it’s legit?
Yes it was if you printed it!!
oh ok. Makes sense now. I was really confused, but I read your other post as well. Personally, I would never buy coupons that were printable from someone else….. I would definitely question how they got so many.
Thank you!
