Safeway is two blocks from my work so I stopped in this morning and got my free items (4 Carefree & 4 Plum Organic Pouchs).
On my way to Safeway I realized I forgot my lunch at home so I thought I would improvise and pick up some food items which is cheaper than dinning out at work.
BREAKFAST & SNACK:
1 Small Simply OJ = 99cents.
1 medium apple= $1.03 (prices on produce are ever increasing eeee-gads!)
2 Yoplait Greek Yogurts = not on sale but used 50/2 which doubled = $1.67 for both
LUNCH:
I had a free coupon for 1 Campbells Slow Kettle Soup which I am using for lunch. Purchased Kickin Crab and Sweet Corn Soup= FREE
Total OOP = $4.00
Tiffany, this is my long winded way of saying thank you. I saw your post yesterday. So last night after dinner I collected the coupons necessary to score the freebies. This morning; however, in my sleep deprived state I realized that I had left my lunchbag at home (which not only includes lunch but breakfast and snack). I hate it when I forget my meals because that means I have to now spend a lot of money on dinning. In Safeway I had an epiphany to use the few coupons I had on me and make some educated purchases concerning my dinning options for work. I think $4.00 was pretty darn good for a last minute decision.
Where is there a Safeway here? Is randalls a form of Safeway? Thanks
Yes! Randall’s is the same as Safeway. That can be confusing!
tiff..the cliff bars..MOJO…some of the mojo are .99 and others are not. one of mine rang up 99 but in my second transaction it was 1.59 or so…
Randall’s by us told me they no longer double a 2nd q. It goes by your shopper card which keeps record. You can do a seperate transaction with a diff. Shoppers card. (Ex- I usually pick up for my mom or sis while I am there…so I generally have one or both of their cards and get to add some extras for me!)
I am not sure I believe that? They will only do one per transaction for sure. I think you should test it and see, because I bet it doesn’t matter if it is a new transaction.
I was told the same thing at our Randall’s so if I have 4 coupons for Betty Crocker fruit snacks for 35 cents each, I have to do 4 transactions to get them to double. Otherwise, it only doubles the 1st coupon and the other 3 are face value. It is really annoying to do 4 transactions when I am only buying 4 things so I have actually stopped shopping at Randall’s.
I think what she is saying or what I understood is that they will only EVER double 1 of the same coupon even if you do then in different transactions.
