Thanks to Katy Couponers for the heads up on this deal. Randalls/Safeway is offering a sweet deal on cereal and movie tickets right now. The cereal is priced at $2.49 each. There are a few different deals going on right now that double dip, the best deal is if you buy Rice Krispies, here is why:
Offer #1: Randalls is giving you a catalina coupon for a free movie ticket, up to $12 when you purchase 5 Kellogg’s cereals in a single transaction (limit 1 per transaction)
Offer #2: Specially marked boxes of cereal have Cars2 codes inside which can be input on this website for a selection of rewards (including a $5 prepaid debit card or $5 in concession cash- an evoucher for 4 codes, limit 30 codes PER PERSON)
Offer #3: There is a $10 rebate form here for 10 UPC’s from select Kellogg’s cereal (Rice Krispies is the only one that is on sale, has the Car 2 code and is on this rebate form, limit 5 rebates per household)
So this is what I did:
- Bought 20 boxes total of cereal, made 4 transactions, bought 5 in each transaction. I did this all in one night, I just went to the back of the line and checked out 4 times.
- Because I did 4 transactions with 5 boxes in each one I got 4 FREE movie vouchers for up to $12 from Kelloggs, it was a catalina that printed off with my receipt.
- I can submit for 1 $10 rebate HERE because I bought 10 boxes of Rice Krispies.
- Got $20 in prepaid debit card for entering the Cars 2 Codes HERE from all the boxes.
My total was around $42 after coupons for all the cereal and produce. Above my price point in cash. BUT I got back $48 in movie tickets, $20 in prepaid debit cards and the $10 rebate! So worth it in my book!
Coupons that I used:
- Kelloggs coupons HERE
- $1/2 Kelloggs Cereal peelies on the boxes.
- $1 off produce when you make a $5 purchase from HERE.

I do not have a Randalls near me(which really sucks since you always post such great deals for there). Can you explain to me how this deal would work for me if I went ahead and purchased the Kelloggs cereal?
Do you have a Safeway affiliate store? THey might be doing the movie ticket catalina. What stores would you be shopping at?
I live in New England, and we have a (small) chain of stores called Market Basket. They were offering a store coupon $6/4 boxes. They don’t double, so I got 24 boxes of cereal (orig. $87.85) for $23.05 (after the kellogg’s printable coupons stacked with the in-store coupons.) Thanks Tiffany for this rebate – I didn’t even know about it, but will be able to lower my amount paid down to $13.05 because I have already purchased enough cereals on the rebate list (smart start, corn flakes, raisin bran, muselix, lowfat granola, and rice krispies) to get one rebate. You really can save money on healthy choices!
what coupons did you use for the cereal? I’m sure I’ve got some somewhere in my binder. Too bad its Rice Kristpies, that is the worst for toddlers, gets everywhere! But, great mixed up in yogurt. It’s all pretty sugary cereal too. I’ll have to think about this one. $40 for cereal is a TON but does even out at the end. Thanks for the idea. 🙂
I should mention the $6/4 in-store coupon was only for Kellogg’s brand cereals.
Oops – I also forgot to mention the $23.05 price already included the $10.00 gas cards I was able to get from the Cars-marked boxes of Rice Krispies.
What movie places are the movie tickets good at?? And where do I find the rebate?
You have to check your area to see, I am not sure what you have around you! All the links are in the post.
What Randalls did you end up going to and were they pretty well stocked? I live right by the one on 242 & 1488. I’m planning on doing this deal but I hope I can get out there sometime today before all the cereal starts to disappear. I’m also 1 coupon shy of the Rice Krispie deal. Bummer! I’ll have to see what kind of magic I can work on that one. Thanks for the heads up!
I went to Grogans mill and they had the coco crispies with the cars logo. They had a bunch on the end cap
Will the Cocoa Krispies work for the $10 rebate?
Tiffany,
Do you think I can use the UPC from the Cocoa Krispies for the $10 rebate as the form states Rice Krispies? I’m thinking No but was wondering if anyone has done this yet since this deal has been around for a while. BTW, thanks for posting this. I was sitting here this morning trying to figure how to do this then I opened your website and there it was. Sweet!
I also forgot to mention, I also bought the produce with the $1 off fresh produce when you buy 2 boxes of cereal. Coupon is a peelie on the cereal. I did mutiple transactions like you did and weighed the produce so each bag was about $1. I got peaches, plums, tomatoes and raspberries for very cheapt this way. Loved this deal. OOP up front was a bit more than I would usually like, but the free movie tickets that printed out and the gas rebates up to $30 is completely worth it IMHO. I paid $45.07 OOP and with the rebates for gas and movie tickets will make back $62 in my calculations. $8 a piece for 4 movie tickets and $30 for the gas cards.
Nice job! That is how mine worked out!
My Randall’s said someone came this morning and took all the booklets. 🙁
Wow, just wow, that is crappy.
Well I found boxes with the peelies for fruit wyb 2 boxes so I still got my fruit. 🙂
I’m confused? Your frosted flakes boxes don’t have the special marking for the Cars promotion, how were you able to get 5 of those prepaid cards without the code?
And I don’t see Cocoa Krispies on the rebate form, are you sure I will get my money as it seemed it listed all healthier cereals, and I don’t consider Cocoa Krispies very healthy, although, neither is Rice Krispies, but I guess slightly better??? I just don’t want to be out $40 if this doesn’t work? HELP!
The frosted flakes DID have the cars codes, I gave those to another customer and got the ones with the $1 off Fruit instead. I did the deal at another store and got the other box, they had more of them there. I probably screwed myself on the coco crispies, thinking that all the krispies were included again I was trying to be nice to the 2 other ladies in my store and was handing them the boxes I needed and explaining the deal to them.
Just an FYI – I noticed that Kellog’s Raisin Bran is listed on the $10 rebate and we can get up to 5 gas cards per household. So I am gonna work this deal since we are more of a Raisin Bran family plus you still get the movie ticket with it. I am not sure about the Cars Code – I will post when I get back this morning.
There were peelies on a bunch of them also!
Did you already enter the Cars code? You can only enter a max of 8 codes per day per account….and each 4 codes gives you a $5 prepaid so confused on if you got 20 why you only got $20 vs $25.
I have not entered them all yet… It should have been $25, I can’t do math! I only opened a few boxes to see how it worked, we had to go out of town and they are still all sitting on my counter!
We did this and just called to get out movie tickets. They told us they would be mailed to us and it would take 4 – 6 weeks! 🙁 I just hope the movie is still around when we get the tickets
They should be for ANY movie! All I am required to do on mine is walk up to the box office and exchange them for a ticket.
How long is this offer good till? Did it end yesterday?
Tiffany,
We tried to walk up to the theater and use the catalina for the free movie and they couldn’t get it to work. I would suggest you call your theater before you head out to make sure they will use them. I even looked on the website and it stated my theater is included. Calling now to see if I can get them mailed to me. Thanks
Oh no sorry Vee, that is how I read it on my ticket. I have not had a chance to use them yet, thank you for the heads up!
