My 95 year old ( she doesn’t look it does she?) Grandma is in town, she flew down from Iowa. She has a thing for sweets, especially chocolate. So I decided to make her the best malt in the world with a combination of Ovaltine Malt mix and Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla ice cream. You have to use Ovaltine if you make a malt, then you can feel good about chugging 5 scoops of ice cream because you are getting just about all of your daily needs of vitamin A, D, C and iron, not to mention five other vitamins and minerals. It’s how I like to take my vitamins. In a blender, with ice cream. Also, those vitamins will zero out any calories from the ice cream.
For each person’s milk shake you will want to figure about three scoops of ice cream. If no one has had lunch yet, give everyone an extra scoop. Remember, they are going to get more than 60% of most of their needed daily vitamins! I am telling you, Ovaltine is that good. Especially because we are adding in milk! And whoppers. And Ovaltine.
Remember, the trick is to mix the ice cream, malt, and milk first. I never measure when I make milkshakes, I just add a little milk at a time. The more milk you add, the thinner the malt. Once that is sufficiently mixed up, add the whoppers and only mix for a few seconds. If you mix it too long the whoppers will be mashed to smithereens.

Just as angelic as she looks, this girl could easily raise a Village by herself, and all the children would grow up to be President.

I can’t stand malt balls such as whoppers. But I love chocolate malt milk shakes. And I don’t like chunks in my milk shakes so here is what I do.
3 big scoops of natural chocolate or natural vanilla bean
1/4-1/2 teaspoon of real vanilla extract
3-4 tablespoons of chocolate syrup
Milk as needed to make desired thickness
And 3 to 4 tablespoons of ovaltine original malt
