Ooey Gooey Cookies are just like the Ooey Gooey Bars just in one little bite! If you have not had Ooey gooey bars, this is the next best thing. And take it from my husband who doesn’t like cookies, these are awesome!
In fact he calls them, Fluffy Cake Biscuits because they are not too sweet and have an amazing texture.
Personally, I love recipe where I probably have everything already in my pantry, and this recipe is no exception! You will need a cake mix, cream cheese, egg, butter and vanilla.
After you make the batter, chill it for a little while and then roll the batter into balls and roll in powdered sugar. I think a larger size cookie scoop is better than a smaller one for these.
Make sure to have someone taste the batter for you…
Can you imagine all the variations you can do with this recipe??!!! The possibilities are endless with the flavors of cake mixes out there now days! You can have Red Velvet, chocolate, spice, etc.!

She is a little bossy! But sweet and adorable at the same time!
Oooooh, think about the different cream cheeses there are too, blueberry, strawberry, pumpkin! Is the bar recipe the same as the cookie recipe?
It is basically the same recipe as the bars but usually you see them with a pumpkin filling. Brilliant idea about changing the flavor of the cream cheese.
I have made it with a chocolate cake mix and it’s yummy!!!
I should try that today!
Those look really yummy! I do have one question – where did you find the Challenge cream cheese? I have a coupon for a free box and haven’t been able to find it at the store. Thanks!
I made the batter and put it in the fridge for 30 min but the recipe says you can roll the batter into balls but it’s way too sticky… Anyone else have this issue?
Me! I just spooned clumps into my bowl of powdered sugar and then rolled! In the oven now…. Fingers crossed!!
I have made these wonderful cookies a few different ways and always with great results. I have used French Vanilla, Milk Chocolate and my favorite Butter Pecan cake mix along with different flavorings like almond, mint and anise. They have become my favorite ‘go to’ cookies. Thanks !
