On the way to Chik Fil A I made my husband run by a Starbucks (not that there isn’t one on every corner) so I could grab my free Refresher. They had samples of both and then you got one free. I sampled the lime and grabbed the fruit.
The lime was O.K. I was actually not a fan of the fruit. In fact we couldn’t get anyone in the car to drink it 🙂 It was, I am not even sure how to describe it…. if you are a tea drinker I think this might be up your alley!

Then onto Chick Fil A. We decided to go to a different one then the 2 we normally go to. It was lunch time and the others are by offices and so they are always really busy. This one was BUSY but also… for a long time we were the ONLY ones dressed up! I wasn’t expecting that. Plus my older kids were already not thrilled that they had to dress up, they helped all morning getting the little ones made up, but you know you hit that age where it is just NOT cool anymore. I think they were more horrified that their Dad donned a white trash bag with spots!

We sampled the lime one the other day, it wasn’t very good, but it might of been cause it was in the little cup and not cold!?
I’m with you Tif, did not like it at all. I’m not a coffee drinker and to me it had a taste of coffee to it. YUK!!!! Was looking forward to actually liking something I could get at Starbucks besides their hot apple cider 🙁

Our family did both today, also! We were the same way with the Refreshers, some could tolorate the Lime, but we couldn’t get anyone in the car to drink the Berry (I think it was the touch of Hibiscus that did it), I’ve always thought of that as more of a scent than a flavor! Then on to Chick-Fil-A where we had a blast! The restaurant was super busy & like you, we were the only ones dressed up at first, which horrified my 12 y.o. son! But then others came in & the kids got their food & were happy! Thanks for the great “cow mask” idea you posted, I copied that for this years’ costumes!! Thanks for everything!
Our family did the Chick, then split Limes and Berries, then later got the Chick for dinner. $91.68 in all….Free! As for the “refreshers”, I already wasn’t a fan of the can version that was free a while back…well…the store version wasn’t any better. Thank goodness they were free or I would have felt a little rpbbed if i would have paid for such a “not so wonderful” drink. Atleast now we know for sure!

The kids were busy all morning making their costumes so I was very happy! Had fun at ChickFilA and felt sorry for the people paying for their lunches! We got $28 worth for free ($7 x 4). The PR lady took a pic of the kids so they thought that was cool. Next year: white bed sheets with black spots!
We went first to Chick Fila for lunch then to Starbucks. I thought the berry was OK, but would never buy one either. We then went to a different Chick Fila for dinner. It was fun.
I thought it may have just been the 3 kids in my car, but I could not PAY any of them to take more than a sip of the Refreshers (either flavor). They both were simply awful! I am very glad they were free otherwise I would have asked for my money back! LOL As for Chik-Fil-A, we always have a ball. Even had family friends go and my dad. We had lunch and dinner for free this year. Saved over $50. Looking forward to next year.
I work at Target and we have a Starbucks in our store. I tried both samples. I couldn’t even finish the Lime one–it was that bad!! I liked the Berry one–but only because it was free. If I had to pay for it, it wouldn’t have tasted as good.
For those that aren’t coffee or tea drinkers, Starbucks has a strawberry and/or lemonade drink that is yummy. I’ve had both plain lemonade and strawberry/lemonade done as both a drink and as a blended drink and all were good.
