I took a quick trip to Walgreens this morning and had an interesting experience. The cashier explained that they are limiting purchases, fine with me… I did want to know where their sign was though as they need to have one up. But more interesting, is the cashier explaining how she called all her friends and the shelf clearers in my area to let them know it was changing and allowed them to clear all the shelves last night. Which means she allowed them to get RR for a sale that had not started yet. Nice.
Onto better news and clearing up an earth shattering rumor! Cap’N Crunch is NOT being discontinued! Thank goodness, now I can sleep at night 🙂

Well I was at the one on Woodlands Parkway this morning. The guy manager called several stores for me trying to find the rain check items i needed for C&C and Right guard. No luck. But while working with him another cashier told a lady with a binder that if you are getting a RR back on your purchase that you can’t use an RR in your transaction. New policy she said…lady manager ordered that rule. The binder lady said ok and didn’t argue. I would have argued that myself.
I had a cashier tell me the same thing a few weeks ago. I called corporate and was later contacted by the manager of my local store. He said that this was a new district policy they were wanting to inforce however he had many complaints and would still allow multiple transactions using earned RR’s. The whole point of walgreens incentive programs is to ensure that the customers come back, why does it matter when we decide to come back? Whether it be that day or the next??
My Captain Crunch coupon from the pepsi insert says $2/3. Were they different by region? Just curious…

No Heather had it right, I didn’t see the $.50 on my receipt and so I was thinking I used 2 of the $2/3. She noticed it and I fixed it!

i am new to the couponing world but was wondering if Walgreens has old spice, zest, and gillette body wash 3/$10 and i have two $1/1zest, two $2/1 gillette, and two bo gillette body wash, get gillette deoderant free can i use the two $2/1 gillette body wash and still use the bo gillette body wash to get the deoderant free?????

@ Melissa – I did a similar thing yesterday (at the 45/Tamina location). Used 3 $2 off Gillette body wash, 3 buy BW get deo free, and 3 buy deo get deo. The cashier said it wouldn’t work but she tried and it did. The only thing is, the Gillette was BOGO 1/2, and it charged me 6x $5.49 for the deo, and the 3 BW rang up as 3.33/ 3.34 but all 9 said BGLP out to the side. But I never got one at a lesser price! And the free deo was $4.99 max so I had to end up paying .50 for each deo and $1.33/$1.34 for each BW.
I guess I coulda gone back and complained but I was afraid it would call too much attention to it. It was still cheaper than Walmart and I received and used RR so I still came out good.
Btw I also took advantage of the cereal deal. The Post Fruity/Cocoa Pebbles were also $1.75 each. I didn’t have coupons 🙁 but I did get back $3 RR. That RR deal expired yesterday so I had to hurry! Also got 3 of the Scotch tape for free. All in all, it was a dang good haul. Especially since that is the only deo hubby uses and he was upset I got right guard last week!
