I made a trip into Kroger tonight to check out the deals and grab some of the FREE Sambazon juice because I had a coupon for it, $1.50 off Sambazon Juice or Smoothie. I ended up trying to reach the last of the green bottle protein drink that was on clearance but pushed all the way back…. so, I stood up on the shelf and tried to grab it, knocking EVERYTHING else off the shelf onto the ground. Took me 10 minutes to clean that up…. as I tried to disappear into thin air because everyone was staring at me.

My total before coupons was $247.32
After coupons and Kroger card it was: $107.81!!
I saved: $139.51. This was “only” a 56% savings, which I am totally happy with! This is my goal each and every time I go to the store. Not the 90% or more that you see on T.V. I got 3 dinners, plus TONS of snacks and lunch items from my $107.
Plus, because it was a Daytona mega event, for every 10 items I bought, I got $3 off immediately and got $2 back after I checked out for my next trip to use. Once I had paid for my groceries and got my catalinas, I turned around and grabbed 2 gallons of milk and a large bag of cheese for $11.47, I used the $11 in catlainas I had and paid only $.47 for what you see below!

Just as angelic as she looks, this girl could easily raise a Village by herself, and all the children would grow up to be President.

Awesome! Thanks for posting a realistic shopping trip. A little over 50% is what I strive for, too. It used to make me feel bad it I “only” saved 50% or so, but now I realize how great that really is when feeding a husband and teenagers! 🙂
I agree! Thank you for showing us a grocery shopping trip with realistic savings. I usually hover around 35% savings but that is fine by me. There is only 2 of us and he has certain name brands that he won’t budge from. You are my go to web site for sure even though I don’t live in Texas. Your family stories make me smile and bring back memories. 🙂
