My Walmart refused to take this coupon today stating that there wasn’t a watermark. On Coupons.com -their coupons have little yellow circles around the date & that is what the cashier said was missing on my coupon.
Can someone help me here? On the Smartsource coupons, there is an “S” logo in the middle of the coupon. Is that the watermark? I didn’t fight with the girl today but I would like to be educated for future trips. This is the first time they have turned down my coupons, but I have had several cashiers mention the Watermark before. So I am sure they have been getting in trouble for taking fraudulent coupons – but I won’t to be able to use my coupons that are real! Thanks!
Wow, I would almost just go again and try a different cashier. There should be nothing wrong with a Smartsource coupon!
I found this on the SmartSource website, just in case anyone else encounters the same issue that I did. It is basically a letter from Smartsource to the retailer that “explains” their coupon.

I had the same experience at my local Walmart. The cashier said that if there aren’t yellow dots around the expiration date, they won’t accept the coupon.
I have difficulty getting Walmart to honor manufacturer’s coupons if they have another store’s name on them. For instance, Kroger mails booklets of coupons to me periodically which are manufacturer’s coupons but for advertising, the Kroger name is printed at the bottom of each one. Almost every time I try to use one at Walmart, the checker tells me they can’t take that kind of coupon. If I question her about it, they call over a supervisor who tells me the same thing. What is the remedy for this?
Ok please help me with this. I have had so much grief with these coupons, maybe you can help. I got the same coupons from a Walgreens from a SmartSource Coupon Machine. I’ve tried to use them at Wal-Mart a few times now and when they scan the Q, the register beeps and they tell me that they can’t because it doesn’t match the items sold. So frustating! I tried to tell them the the the Q says any lub. and they say it’s not the same. Can you please help me make sense of this?
I can’t 🙂 If it says ANY then it should be ANY. They need to go by the wording and not the picture.
On a recent trip to my Walmart, I told the cashier that I didn’t want a certain item because I didn’t realize that my coupon was for a local grocery store. The cashier stated that she could take the coupon, and that it had to be presented with the item so she could adjust the price. She rang up the item-minus the value of the coupon- then tore up the coupon from the other store.
