Kroger to Host Celebrations to Salute Hometown Heroes
In honor of the 11th anniversary of 9/11, Kroger is hosting Honoring Our Heroes celebrations for local emergency services personnel and active military at select stores across greater Houston to salute their daily heroic acts of service and efforts to protect the community.
Emergency services personnel and active military are invited to join the festivities taking place from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Friday, September 7. Guests will get to enjoy a free BBQ meal and beverage.
In addition to the cookouts, emergency services personnel and active military will receive a 10 percent discount on Kroger brand products for the weekend – Friday, September 7, thru Sunday, September 9 – at all 106 Kroger stores in greater Houston. To receive the discount, participants must show a valid form of ID or be in uniform.
At 7:46 a.m. on Tuesday, September 11, Kroger will host a citywide moment of silence to honor fallen heroes.
