** TODAY is the LAST day for the P&G Mega Event, if your Kroger changes over on Tuesday nights!!! Pull out your coupons and make sure to use them up!
I got back a little bit ago from my shopping trip to Kroger and wanted to update you on what I found… it has taken me longer than I wanted to post this, but we had a rogue baby with an entire chocolate bar melting on her hands. Now that the walls are clean and we can see her face, I found a computer!
First, I am happy to say my FREE $4 came off my total! You can see that post HERE on how to get the $4.
I loaded my Kroger card, and everything went perfectly with all my ecoupons.
** Now this is one of my favorite kind of shopping trips. Imagine someone in a super whiny voice explaining why they can’t be bothered to coupon, “coupons aren’t for anything *I* would eat or use” they whine. “O.K. that is fine, more for me” I think to myself. Then I look at the trip above and think to myself… I thew that trip together in 10 minutes, as I walked in the door from work. I had 40 minutes in the store while my girls were at dance to get it all. I saved over $50 and bought, organic cereal, milk, soap, makeup, Tide, Bounce, toothpaste, electric toothbrush, floss, shampoo and more! Yep! Not a single thing that any normal family would use ๐
Total before coupons and e-coupons: $127.56
Total Savings: $75.10
Total Savings %: 60%
Final Total: $52.46!

I would to see your Kroger trip this week!

Part comedian, part Dad, part athlete. He will boss around your children while they play ball.
Just as angelic as she looks, this girl could easily raise a Village by herself, and all the children would grow up to be President.
Self proclaimed, she would be a webkinz dog. Because, "they're cute, and puppies are too. And they're sweet and they always get along with other puppies."
This mini-Martha Stewart can handle ANY craft you send her way. She isn't all bows and rainbows, she's got karate kid moves!
Not "Pick-Me-Up" like caffeine, she wants you to pick her up! AND NOW!
Anything that can be destroyed WILL be destroyed!
Practically Perfect in Every Way for now! Nicknamed "The Panda" she is rolly polly and lives by the motto, "the little one, is KING!"
The resident Labradoodle, Miller got his name because Mom won and got to name the baby! Need something chewed up? He'll take care of it. Especially if it's expensive..
On my 3rd time loading coupons the $4 showed up! I bought 2 old spice body washes, 1 deodorant, 1 tide, 1lb. of tomatoes, and 4 packages of snack size snickers/ baby ruth for a little over $4 total! And only used 2 of my paper coupons ๐ Now if krogers would allow you to load the coupons more than once, I would forgive them for the “no 2x/3x coupons” in houston.
I love this post. I am a second time couponing lady and I really enjoy reading your posts. A friend of mine follows you and for a while I have been meaning to write something here. I LOVE your post because a lot of people make me feel like I am some weird creature because I use coupons and they tell me the same things, I don’t have time or it is too much trouble to buy with them. Meanwhile I am saving lots of money and they are not. I happy to say I have had successfully bring two friends to the other side and now they are happy couponers too. Thanks for all your advice and tips.
The $4 came off my total too! I also had some FREE coupons from Kroger to use up. I have to say even though I’m more loyal to walmart these days, there are times when I’m happy to walk in Kroger ๐
You make me giggle. I had someone once tell me that they didn’t want to coupon because they don’t like pork rinds and don’t want to eat them for every meal. LOL.. what?!
I dont think I’ve ever gotten pork rinds for free! LOL!!
Awesome trip!! I am trying to refrain from running out and making a trip everytime I see a good sale on your site right now! LOL so I am holding off until tomorrow to get to Kroger and Wal-Mart and then I will be done with my coupon shopping until Sunday ๐
I can’t refrain from shopping. Every night this week I have been going to the stores to get those deals. ๐
This is one of those times that I wish I had a Krogers locally because they have such great deal. My mother in law and I were super excited when we went on vacation to SC because we got to go to Krogers and walk around like it was a museum. I even got to get a Kroger card!!! Sad to say, what did you do on vacation? I went to Krogers!!!! (of, and the beach…) Your stories are so great!! Thanks for the smile ๐
Thanks so much for this post, I cleaned up yesterday at Kroger’s.
8-tides, 7-crest toothpaste, 1- dawn dish soap, 2-oral-b, 4-covergirl products, 1-febreze airfresher, 2-packs of batteries, 2 packs of always pads, 1-secret deodorant. Total with all my discounts 61.10
Love/hate relationship with Kroger continues…I tried to use my Kashi coupons and was told by the manager (I’ll admit- she was very pleasant) that they didn’t have a barcode (meaning the OLD style barcode.) I told her that they had the NEW barcode and that everything was supposed to be switching over to that style, but no go. She said ‘you must be the fifteenth person that this has happened to today…’ Ugh. So get this- a few days later I was in another Kroger and tried the same coupons on the single servings, and what do you know- the cashier took them. He couldn’t get them to scan, but he did an override on them. I wish manufacturers would keep printing the dual codes until stores figure this out!
