If you are not sure how to shop at a Kroger Mega Event, I put together a little video that I hope helps some. I wanted to get WAAYYYYY more footage in the store for you, but it was SOOOO busy I just couldn’t.
This is the front page of the ad. It will explain what items are on sale ( although there are a TON more in the store unadvertised) and tell you what your final price will be AFTER the mega event $$ came off at the end.
When you are in the store, make sure to look for the blue and yellow tags and signs letting you know that this particular item is a mega event item. The first price is the price you will pay if you don’t buy 10 mega event items. The lower price is the price you will pay (before coupons) IF you buy 10 mega event items.
I separate the items in my cart by non- mega event items and mega event items so that I can keep track of how many I have. This trip I had 30. I also double count them when I am checking out.
You can check out the upcoming sale HERE.

I usually lose track of my “count”, by the time I check out. If I end up with only 18 or 19, I just take my receipt and 2 more mega event items to customer service – they always give me money back (after “paying” for the 2 items that I forgot).

I went to Kroger this past week and stocked up on the mega event items as well. But I did have a hard time keeping count of the number of items that I was getting even though I separated them out. I think next time I’ll have my oldest daughter follow me with one of the smaller baskets and I’ll only place the mega event items in the big basket (if I’m planning on a large trip). This way it’ll be easier to see how many I end up with!! Thanks for this great tips!
Also, I just wanted to add, that until you mentioned it a few weeks back, I never knew that the Mega Event sales at Kroger last for 2 weeks! Thanks for that heads up!!! 😀

I always go to couponnetwork.com and click the yourbucks offers on the top. It gives you a list of the current catalina promotions and if you click offer details you can enter your zip code and it tells you what all retailers in your area are doing the current catalinas. I found out that Walgreens is also doing the Kraft catalina and right now they have the right size lunch meat and cheese slices on sale for $2/5. I used my MQ’s and got a great deal!

I take my reusuable bags (the larger ones) & separate each mega into a bag. It is much easier to keep track of the number of items in each bag.
