Ikea has their semi-anual sale this week, plus if you are a student you can get a free meal when you print a coupon HERE.
The food is so cheap at IKEA and good we always plan our trip around a meal there.
While standing in line last night we apologized to the very patient and nice gentleman behind us for not getting frustrated that it was taking my kids FOREVER to order dinner! He just laughed when we apologized and explained that he had 10 children (ages 25 to 5) so he was right at home! He also gave us some of the best info we have ever gotten…
Some Ikea stores are franchises! Like the one in Houston. So they have different prices than online, usually more expensive in the store. It you show them the price online they will PRICE MATCH it to the LOWER price!Woohoo! This is where my favorite little cell phone came in handy last night as we walked around I checked the prices online and saved us about $60!!
So next time you are at IKEA you might want to find out if your store is individually owned!

That’s awesome! I had no clue that the Houston store had higher prices than others. I got the e-mail from the Frisco store for the free food coupon with student ID, but it says “excludes IKEA Houston or IKEA Home Shopping”. Is this a different version of the coupon that includes the Houston location? I’m coming that way for the weekend and would love to get a free meal on the way to Pasadena! 🙂

Great info about the price matching. Heading over there sometime this week for a couple of things. Who did you show the price match info to for them to match since the checkout is self-serve? Do you have to go to customer service after checkout for a price adjustment? Thx!
