* I am reposting this story as well! I have a really funny story about this chili. Two weeks ago on Wednesday I had to film a quick shopping trip at HEB fro a news station ( it actually aires tonight on channel 11), the same night we had our church trunk or treat. We were supposed to make chili for the chili cook off, but we got so busy and they ran so late, that we didn’t get the chili made. Panicked at 5pm, we were supposed to be there at 6. Paul opened 5 cans of Hormel chili, 2 cans of diced tomatoes, some freeze dried onions, and a little browned chorizo we had from breakfast to a crock pot.
It was a chili cook off that was judged…. we won 3rd place! No joke. We were dying!! True Story.

the chili is .99 at kroger(part of mega 10), so the coupon would make it like .70, i plan on getting some, if you havent tried the hormel roasted tomatoe chili, it is sooo good.
I have a great snack recipe that uses this chili if you ever want it let me know 🙂 We use it for snacks or when we have football parties or even as nibble food before my daughters birthday parties. Its a multi use snack recipe in our house 😛
FYI: I live in MD and my Giant has Hormel chili w/beans on sale for 4/$5. If you use two of the coupons .55/2 (which will be doubled) it will cost .70 cents a can. They also have Hormel chili with no beans on sale for 3/$5.
So…….what time does your HEB shopping trip air? I want to watch!
