I was planning on getting 5 of the 50 oz Tides for under $6.50 each. I wanted to get over $30 for the P&G deal. But when I got to the store, they were $7.54, and there was HEB yellow $2 off coupons. I did a little math quick and figured the larger 100 oz size for $11.97 was actually a better deal per ounce. I did a quick video explaining what I did.
Tonight I ran into HEB to test out the P&G $10 catalina deal. The cool thing is that they have HEB yellow coupons “M” that are $2 off Tide, so you don’t have to use your $2 coupons! However the Tide is more than I thought, it was $7.54, maybe it is lower at different HEB’s. But the larger 100 oz was only $11.97. I also wanted to see if it would “roll” which it does!
The deal is that when you purchase $30 in P&G products you get $10 back in the form of a catalina to sue on your next shopping trip.
Total Spent: $79.26
Total Saved: $75.60
This was my first transaction:
Transaction #1
Buy 3 Tide 100oz $11.97
Use 3 $2/1 Tide coupons (either from 10/30 P&G or Yellow HEB store coupons)
Total: $32.38
Get Back: $10 catalina
Price per ounce: $.074
I then went to do it again and see if it “rolled”.
I had a bunch of BOGO and other coupons that expired on 10/30 and 10/31 so I wanted to use them up.
** You only need to buy **4** of the 50 oz Tide if the price is $7.54 at your store.

Which HEB did you go to? I did not see the HEB M coupon in Conroe. And I really don’t want to waste mine if I don’t have to. 🙂 Thanks!
Tiffany says
Market Street, there were about 10 left. You can try Sawdust or on 1488.
jen says
Thank You Tiffany. (Market Street is my FAV) I’ll hit 1488 tomorrow 🙂
Whitney says
Stupid question….what do you mean it rolled?
Tiffany says
Oh no not a stupid question!
It means that you can do 1 transaction, get the catalina, then turn around and do it again, using that first catalina to pay for the next transaction and still get another catalina back. So you can “roll” them from one to another transaction and still get the coupon.
karen says
Do you think this catalina deal will still be going on tuesday (payday)?
Tiffany says
Yes it will be!
Ali says
Would you mind explaining how you used the BOGO Suave coupons?
Tiffany says
HEB has yellow “B” BOGO Suave coupons for the kids products. There is a Manufacturer BOGO Suave coupon for kids products. When you use the 2 together you get 2 products free.
Lulu says
At HEB they told me I couldnt use a mq and a store q on the same item:(
Tiffany says
If you are doing this deal at no point are you using 2 coupons on one item. Either you are using your own Tide coupon from the paper, or you are using 1 of the yellow HEB $2 Tide coupons. I want to make sure that you are following what to do to get this deal, If I am not understanding your comment please let me know!
Tiffany says
Lulu, I am sorry, I didn’t see which deal you were talking about! YES! you CAN use a yellow “B” coupon with a manufacturer coupon!! Print the HEB coupon policy and take it with you, it clearly says you can!
These are the types of coupons:
Manufacturer-sponsored coupons (Type M coupon; has an ‘M’ in bottom left corner)
Store-sponsored coupons (Type S Coupon; has an ‘S’ in the bottom left corner)
Big Savings coupons (Type B coupons; has a ‘B’ in the bottom left corner)
This is what is says about combining then:
Please consider the following guidelines and limitations:
Coupons can only be redeemed for items, brands, and sizes as specified by the requirements of the coupon.
Only one manufacturer coupon per item is permitted.
Combining a manufacturer issued coupon with an H-E-B issued manufacturer coupon (Type M) on the same item is not permitted
H-E-B will combine store sponsored yellow coupons with manufacturer coupons for the same product
One (1) manufacturer issued coupon and one (1) H-E-B issued Store-sponsored (Type S)
One (1) manufacturer issued coupon and one (1) H-E-B issued Big Savings coupon (Type B)
Ali says
Okay, so you’re not purchasing 4 total Suave products, using the 2 coupons (1 YQ, 1 manu) separately to get 2 of those free? You’re actually using the coupons in unison to get 2 products totally free? Thanks for your help!
Tiffany says
Yes that is correct! I think those coupons expire today though! I bought 6 and had 3 manu q’s and 3 HEB “b” bogo q’s.
Lizz says
Is it $3o before or after coupons?
Tiffany says
Before coupons, you just have to get to that amount to trigger the catalina.
angela says
Do you know how long this deal is going on for?
I would love to stock up on some cheap Tide.
🙂
Linda says
At my HEB – the HEB yellow M coupons specified they had to be used on the 20 – 32 Load Tides. So if you buy the 100 oz Tide (64 loads) you have to use your coupons from the paper.
Tiffany says
Thanks for checking that out Linda!
diane says
I just bought 4 Tide detergents at $7.54 each, total $ 30.16 and used 4 $2 yellow H.E.B coupons, after coupon total $23.99. Payed and the $10 catalina do not print, they told me it is after coupon total.
Tiffany says
I know for sure that it is not or it would not have printed for me last night. Did you call a manager over? Did all the Tides ring up first before any coupon was scanned, also sometimes the catalina machine is not turned on. I would go back and ask them to explain to you what happened. It is not after coupons, no deal works that way at HEB. If they are not helpful, you can always return the Tide.
diane says
I will go back and talk to the manager then. Thank you!
Tiffany says
Please let me know what happens. If you can see if they will ring you up again and experiment with why it didn’t print.
June says
Thanks for the information! I wish I had read this yesterday, though before all the coupons expired. I was at HEB for the Lasagna meal deal:( But, I can still get the Tide deal:)
simona says
Is this catalina deal zipcode specific ?
I am in zipcode 78611 / 76543 (TX)
Heather says
Do you know how long this deal is going on? Is it just for this week or is it a month long deal or what? I want to try this…just hoping it doesn’t end today with the weekly deals 🙁
Tiffany says
I was trying to get back in to see, I thought it was until the 7th.
Monica says
I did this deal a couple of days ago. I bought 4 of the 50 oz Tides and used 4 of the HEB $2 off coupons. My catalina did not print at the checkout so I brought the Tides and my receipt to Customer Service. I explained that a catalina was supposed to print and it didn’t so I wanted to return the Tides. The CS lady simply looked at my receipt to make sure I had spent the $30 and she called to confirm the promotion was still running and printed my catalina there. It takes a few extra minutes, but it’s totally worth the $10!
simona says
HEB showed me a print out that says the deal is AFTER the coupons have been subtracted and it is still $30 , THAN you get your $10 catalina coupon
Erika says
Is the 30 dollars accounted before or after the use of coupons?
