Winner, of the earrings is…

by Tiffany on September 23, 2009

I am proud to say that I think the youngest to get theirs done (per comments) was my sister-in-law Bregelle, and the oldest was my Grandma, when she was 74! Hmmmm, looks like all my readers are family, thanks guys!
My Mom is visiting my Grandma and posted this for her. I am seriously lame if I don’t get a pair of these for her. I am going to order some right now! My Grandma is 94, and doesn’t look a day over 70. She is the coolest Woman I know.
This is Evelyn: I was about 74 yr old and went down to the Mall. I think I went with Micheale to get them pierced. I hope I win.
Hmmm, who talked me into that (getting my ears pierced)?

I Loved this comment from Betsy:
I got my ears pierced when I was 7. My Dad took me as a surprise (to my mother as well!!!) to the mall and afterward we went out to dinner together. I remember it being such a special occasion to me and now I can’t wait till my daughter turns 7 so I can take her (or maybe she will prefer her Daddy to take her!).

I’m mad my Mom took my Sister to the mall to get hers done, not fair! All she remembers is this…
I was slightly embarrassed because the woman was talkin to mom about ears and boobs always being slightly off from each other. 12 years later, I still remember her ( the lady in the store) left boob is bigger.

Rhea and I are kindred spirits!
I was 13 and my Mom pierced my ears in our kitchen at home. She used ice, a potato and needle. I guess I should thank her for using straw from the broom instead of thread as I don’t have small holes. But boy was it embarrassing to have straws sticking out of each ear lobe. At least I had long hair to cover them my sister didn’t. I used to pull the ends of my hair to the front and hold them. I didn’t want a wind to come up and everyone see. And of course she didn’t wait until a break from school. I wanted them pierced so bad that I didn’t think of what was going to happen after. lol

And the winner is…
Twanda!!
I got my ears pierced when I was 15, that summer we went to the Grand Canyon, and I fell in love with these perfectly cute turquoise heart earrings. My Step Mom and I talked my Dad into it. She pierced them with ice, rubbing alcohol, and rammed the earring right thru the earlobe. I remember hearing the sound as the earring went thru both sides of the ear lobe…it was wierd, didn’t feel much until the ice/numbness wore off then my ears went very hot…very cute earrings.

I don’t have any contact information for you! So PLEASE email me! If I can’t get ahold of her I will draw another name in a few days!

Check back tomorrow for a coupon themed giveaway!
