24 hour giveaway, Penny and Rio book by Jennifer Swanson signed for you!

When we were asked to review this children’s book we were all over it! Obviously, I could supply the children part and fortunately my children love to read!

This is a darling book about two dogs Penny and Rio who have to work together with the help of another dog and mouse to figure out the mystery of the doghouse. My three older children ages 7, 9, and 12 were able to read this one their own and the 9 year old read it to the littler kids a few times. They all really enjoyed it and I loved the emphasis on working together and family in this book.

This book is written by Jennifer Swanson, you can see a trailer for the book HERE and also read a few excerpts from the book. Jennifer has won several awards for this series including 2 Mom’s choice awards! This is the second book in the series, my kids are anxious to read the first book, I have a feeling someone will be getting it for Christmas!

Penny and Rio will be available on Ripple Reader a web based audio player. Adults use it to make personalized audio recordings of children’s picture books. Children use it to listen to these custom recordings over and over. You can also ask your school to carry this book. This is a great feature for Grandparents and Parents in the Military or who are away for extended amounts of time.

Jennifer is giving one of my readers a signed copy and a personal message to your child written inside the book today! This would make a great stocking stuffer!

To enter leave a comment telling us what your favorite children’s book is…

For additional entires subscribe to my site, tweet, blog or facebook about it! OR ask your library to carry this book! Good Luck! Ends Thursday about 3pm, when my kids get home to draw a name!

My son’s favorite book is any book that either has colors and letters that he can name, and therefore feel like he’s reading, or that I read to him. I’m amazed at what this two year old will sit and listen to!

My favorite Childrens book is NEVER TALK TO STRANGERS. My dad would read it to my brother and I using a very corny voice. I think the voice is why that book was imprinted into my brain. My 4 year old daughter’s favorite book (for the first 3 years) was GOOD NIGHT MOON. We would read it several times a day, everyday.

My favorite as a child was “Are You My Mother?” from Dr. Seuss. My son has yet to discover that book, but I am so thrilled to find he shares the same love of reading as I do at a year.

Thanks,
Margie
