I am going to try for a gas card this week as I have not done it once this summer. Also, I want to take advantage of the Huggies deal this week. If you are new to CVS, goHERE and read my CVS 101. Thanks Saving Well Spending Less!
If you go HERE you can see my CVS preview. HERE is info on the clearance diapers.
There is a $2 Huggies CVS coupon that you can combine with the mfq that is coming out, so this will make for a great deal on some new diapers! I will need to get a papers this weekend as many of the coupons that I need will be in there.
To get the $10 CVS card this is what I will do:
Huggies Jumbo Pack $8.99
Air Wick Freshmatic Spray $6.99
Cottonelle Fresh Wipes 42 ct $1.96
Nestle Pure Life Purified Water Bottles, 24 pk., $3.39
Nature Made Vitamin D BOGO at $4.24
Glade Air Freshener, 9 oz, or Scented Oil Warmer, 1 ct., 99¢
Use $4 off Air Wick Freshmatic Ultra or Compact starter kit, 8/14 SS
Use $.50/1 Cottonelle flushable moist wipes PRINTABLE
Use $2 off Huggies Little Movers slip on diapers (CVS coupon) PRINTABLE
Use $3 off Huggies Little Movers slip-on diapers, 8/14 SS
Use $1 off Nestle Pure Life water, 5 gal or (2) .5 L 24 pk., PRINTABLE
Use (2) $1 off Nature Made product, (sign in) PRINTABLE
Total: $14.06
Get Back: $10 Gas Gift Card
** If both items for a BOGO sale (like the vitamins) do not count in the total, then I need to add $4 more worth of items. I will probably do another case of water and another cottonelle.

On the Nature’s Made vitamins it may only count 4.24 instead of 8.48. That’s what happened to me a few weeks ago with the Planters mixed nuts BOGO at 6.99. I thought I would get credit of 13.98 for both and it only counted the 1 at 6.99.
Mariza Rendon says
It seems that for this gas card deal the BOGO’s are only giving credit for one of the items not both. For the above transaction it might only count 4.24 instead of 8.48. This is what happened a few weeks back when thy had the planters BOGO, instead of getting credit for 13.98 I only got credit for 6.99 the cost of 1 planter’s.

Good to know, if that is the case I am adding in another case of water, and maybe another cottonelle.

Just checked my in-store coupons from last week. Turns out i have three $2.00 off any nature made vitamins coupons that haven’t expired. Oh happy day!!!
Diane S says
On a BOGO sale price do both items count towards the $30 gas deal or just the one?
Tiffany says
Yes as long as the total reaches over the $30 then hand over your CVS card and then your coupons.

I had the same question as to whether or not both items in a BOGO counted toward the total….I called CVS and the woman told me they both count! I told her the store I went to was not aware and she said she’d let them know! one other thing I learned is that when you send $5/25 to your card it comes off last, after all coupons. In order to use this feature your total after coupons must still be 25! Just letting everyone know so they don’t make the same mistake I did!
Tiffany says
Thats what i thought, but a reader had an issue with one last week. I say try it as it should count, if not then expect to add something in.

I just used the $5/$25 coupon yesterday and it came off as soon as he totaled my transaction. After I saw it come off is when I handed him my paper coupons. I used my rain checks to use this coupon. I purchased a 2 oz. Bengay, 12 oz. Renu Sensitive Contact Solution, 3 SoftSoaps, & one 5 ct. Zyrtec. My total was $26.67, after my coupons I paid $0.75 and received $11 in Extra Bucks! So maybe they have to total the transaction before they scan any coupons.

Tiffany,
I’m planning on doing my first CVS shopping trip this week, and I was going to “copy” your shopping list (everything you are purchasing is stuff I will need or use) to get the hang of shopping there.
As I was re-calculating everything out, I noticed that in your calculations you are planning on purchasing the Nestle 24pk of water. Your calculations show you will be buying one 24pk, but the coupon is for 2-24pks. Is this correct or am I reading your list incorrectly? I’m just trying to make sure my 1st trip goes smoothly 🙂
Thanks!
Tiffany says
If I can’t use the BOGO vitamins then I am purchasing 2 of the waters. I have to see what happens when they ring it all up!

I noticed that on the CVS Huggies Q it says it can’t be used with any other coupon, does this mean we can’t stack it with our $3/1…..I’m a lil confused since every blogger keeps posting this deal even though it says that. I love you deal for the gas card though =)
Tiffany says
If it says not with any other coupon, then you won’t be able to use it with the $3 off.

I wonder why none of the bloggers have made a note about this on their deals page. I’m pretty sure they noticed. I guess t’s too good of a deal to notice the wording on the CVS coupon for this deal. *shrugs*
Tiffany says
I have not personally printed the coupon to be able to see the wording. Most bloggers use a coupon database and it does not say anything that it can’t be combined.

I just got back from CVS & purchased 8 packages of Huggies Slip-Ons 🙂 The CVS store coupon for $2.00 off (which you can get from cvs.com) is actually only one per customer per visit 🙁 BUT the manager at my CVS was very nice and let my mom use 4 and I used 3 🙂 We also had 4 manufacturer coupons for $3.00 off any package of huggies and 3 man. coupons for $1.50 off huggies.
Heres the trasactions:
Transaction 1
3 Packages of Huggies regular $13.99ea on sale for $8.99 ea. = 26.97 (saved $15.00)
Use 3 $2.00 off cvs huggies coupons
Use 3 $3.00 off manf. coupons
= 11.97
I only needed to spend $3.03 more to get a fre
e $10.00 gas card so I did another transaction
Transaction 2
1 Package of HUGGIES (13.99 EA) Sale 8.99 (save 5.00)
Use 1 $3.00 manf coupon
=$5.99

I used both this morning. It let me use the $3 mfg and the $2 cvs coupon. However I did not find a nature made vitamin d for $4.24, they were all $9 and up so I just bought the cheapest one. What I did was buy 2 nature made vitamin d @ $9.67 (they both counted towards total) then one huggies @ $8.99 and two cottenelle wipes @ 1.97 each. I could have probably found a better deal than the vitamins but I got thrown off and had the kids with me So I just picked those up. And I also did the huggies deal in two more transactions and it worked with both coupons.

Savingstar.com has a 2.00 off the freshmatic and you can use that on top of your coupons for freshmatic at CVS! 🙂

Tiffany, Alot of times when I go to make & print a list of things I want to buy from your store deals for the week the option to check those items off to go on the list is not there is this something you have to manually enable. I went to make my list this morning but it doen’t seem to be set up this week. Thanks for your help.
Tiffany says
Hmm thanks for letting me know. I tested it here and just on another computer and it worked for me, so let me call the designer and see what she can figure out.
