Hello – I’m hoping to start visiting CVS more and more now that I’m learning about shopping there! (thanks!!!) – I ran in today to pick up a 2 pack of the Sunday paper to get ready to visit tomorrow afternoon and saw a “green bag tag?” at the register – I believe the cost for the “tag” was $1 and if I understood her, the cashier said it could be scanned 1x a day and after 4 scans you earn $1 ECB? I don’t know if you have to purchase anything or not, or if you just can run in, scan at the kiosk, leave and do that every day (not that I’d be able to do that, but maybe working folks on lunch breaks would? I don’t know) – anyway, do you know anything about this and can you elaborate if you do? I did not get one. I didn’t feel like I had enough info. on it at this time. Thanks!!!

you have to buy a green bag tag, if you wait you might get a coupon for a free one- I did about a month after I bought one, then attach it to a reusable bag that you bring with you or you can buy one there. Then every time you shop bring your bag and when you make a purchase the cashier will scan the tag. Every 4 times you will get a $1 ECB printed out on your receipt. HTH

Hi Catherine – The cashier scans the green bag tag when you check out and use a reusable bag. After 4 uses you get $1ECB back. You can only scan it once per day. Even if you go in several different times and scan it throughout the day, it will only work once per day.
Catherine says
So you’re buying a bag to use in the store? Not just the tag and you scan the tag yourself at the kiosk? Thanks.
Tiffany says
No when you bring a bag in to use and they dont have to give you one they can your card.
Jan says
You can scan the tag at each CVS you visit each day. Only 1 time at each store will count. If you go to 4 different stores in one day, you scan it all 4 times and it counts.
