This morning at the butt crack of dawn, I was standing in front of Kroger doing the old Marshall’s commercial, “open, open, open, open!” Trying to get in and out before I had to get the kids up and ready for school. That is how much I LOVE you guys! 🙂 Ok really, I just wanted to see how good the deals were myself! But I do love you as well!
This is a mega event where you buy 5 items and you get $5 BACK in the form of a catalina to use on your next purchase. You can do these all in one trip and get a bunch of catalinas back with your receipt like I did, or you can break them into small transactions and “roll” the catalina from one transaction to the next. Making your out of pocket expense less up front. I was in a hurry so I was more out of pocket but got back $40 to use on my next trip.
The awesome part is that on your next trip you can use as many of the catalinas as you want, there is no limit on the coupon. The catalina’s expire 1 week from the date that you get them.

Thanks for adding it up for me. I know that takes time! I had bought other items that were not in the mega event and didn’t want to confuse anyone with milk and everything, I must have not read my receipt correct early this morning.
I did the math and your original total is close to what I got, assuming your Kroger doubles your coupons up to $1 like mine does. Great trip!

I posted it early this morning and messed it up at some point, I left my receipt at home and have been at work all day and so I have not been able to see where I screwed it up at!

I’m assuming all of these are on the buy 5 get $5 back, since you purchased 41 items and received $40 in catalinas. Do you have a list of other items that are included in the buy 5 get $5? I didn’t see the BC potatoes or pourable brownie mix or the chewy granola bars in my sale paper.

I only purchased 40, if it ads up as 41 then I put one in wrong. There are a lot of unadvertised deals.
I found Betty Crocker macaroni and cheese $1, so free after catalina. No coupon necessary!
My Kroger advertisement shows the buy 5 now & save $5 on a future trip starts tomorrow, Oct. 18th through October 24th. How did you get to do those deals today?
YOu ad just runs different then ours does. In Houston ours runs from Wednesday morning until Tuesday night.

Sounds like a great deal. Many of your coupons are printable off the computer. Recently my printer prints coupons and instead of barcodes on the coupon there are numbers lots of them printed small. These were from coupons.com. Any help out there?
i kinda did your shopping trip above– all had coupons or e coupons- 2 cheerios, 2 cocoa puff, 5 pilsbury strudels, 4 mix and pour brownie mixes, 6 pack yoplait yougurt, 4 betty crocker potatoes, 3 betty crocker pouch cookie mix , 4 pilsbury ref cookie dough- 5 brownie something or another -i can’t figure my recpt lol-87.96 – with card and coupons — $57.84 and 6- $5 catalina’s — they DIDN’T PRINT GASP!!!! the manager was great- he forced them to print – and i used them on my 2nd cart– meat! 93.22 before – coupons/catalinas and e card- $44.81 YEA finally hit better than 50%!!!
