** This is TOMORROW! There is still time, please come by and exchange some cookies and drop off a toy!
A long time reader and friend Crystal, adopted her son through the DePelchin Children’s Services. This Christmas season DePelchin is in great need of gifts, toys, and gift cards for over 300 children in the Houston area! I KNOW THAT WE CAN HELP!
If you are going to be in town, December 17th please consider coming to a Open House Cookie Exchange hosted my Crystal and Myself, from 6pm to 9pm in The Woodlands, TX.
What to bring:
- 4 dozen Homemade Cookies (no Chocolate Chip, unless they are really different) in a disposable container.
- A toy donation for a child, OR Gift card (these are good for the teenagers)
If you have extra wrapping paper, tape and gift labels, bows, etc.- Extra container to take home 4 dozen different cookies
How it works:
You bring 4 dozen cookies (they can all be the same kind), plus a toy for a child to donate, you leave with 4 dozen assorted cookies that you choose from the huge cookie display. You can hang out, chat, mingle, swap couponing stories, help wrap presents for kids, etc. Basically have a good time and girls night out. I have a few fun door prizes you can win!
It is casual and open house style so you can come and go while out running errands and last minute shopping! If you are interested in coming, please email couponclassinfo@gmail.com for an invitation. We are going to be able to send out about 50 of them because of space available. If you would like to drop a gift off because you can’t make it that night, you can drop them off this week at The Woodlands Christian Church 1202 North Millbend Dr. 77380. The church front office has an office they are keeping them in.

Part comedian, part Dad, part athlete. He will boss around your children while they play ball.
Just as angelic as she looks, this girl could easily raise a Village by herself, and all the children would grow up to be President.
Self proclaimed, she would be a webkinz dog. Because, "they're cute, and puppies are too. And they're sweet and they always get along with other puppies."
This mini-Martha Stewart can handle ANY craft you send her way. She isn't all bows and rainbows, she's got karate kid moves!
Not "Pick-Me-Up" like caffeine, she wants you to pick her up! AND NOW!
Anything that can be destroyed WILL be destroyed!
Practically Perfect in Every Way for now! Nicknamed "The Panda" she is rolly polly and lives by the motto, "the little one, is KING!"
The resident Labradoodle, Miller got his name because Mom won and got to name the baby! Need something chewed up? He'll take care of it. Especially if it's expensive..
I can’t make the exchange, although it sounds like fun, but am wondering if i can mail (you guys are far from me) a gift to the church?
Thanks so much for all your help Tiffany. This is a particularly hard time of year on these children & teens as many come into state custody with little to no personal possessions.
That sounds great Tiffany!! I love what Depelchin does for children.I’d love an invite but for some reason I can’t get the email address you listed to work for me. Where will the event be held?

An awesome gift that is cherrished by “state kids” is a backpack. It is a place to safely store the little that is theirs alone. It is also great item that is easy to travel between foster and group homes, which happen a lot due to the older you are, no one want you (true fact). Also, their own blanket (snuggle without looking like a baby holding a stuffed animal). Also decks of playing cards for self or group play. Small enough to be able to keep as you only are allowed so much stuff to store in a group home. Also, candy treats!
Oh great idea!
Great ideas Katrina! Is there a way to donate to this organization without going to this event?
In the bottom of the post you are able to drop a gift off!
