Friday is Mega Swagbucks day, that means that you should get more bucks today doing searches. Swagbucks is how I have paid for much of my kids Christmas the past few years by earning Swagbucks and redeeming them for Amazon gift cards.

Here are a few things to remember:

• You can only redeem 5 of the same prizes a month. I like to get the $5 Amazon gift cards, but I can only get 5 a month ($25) so I need to make sure I plan on being able to cash all those in by December.
• Swagbucks pays out or credits your Swag account with your gift cards 2x a month on the 1st and 17th. If I want to use my gift card for a certain date I need to make sure I cash my swagbucks in ahead of time or I might not get them in time.
• All I have to do when my Amazon gift card is credited is go to my Swagbucks account (click on your name at the top right), go to “my gift cards”, type in your password, then you will see your gift cards that you can redeem. Now I just go to Amazon, “my account” and then “add gift card”. Now I just copy and paste the code from Swagbucks and it is added to my Amazon account. Then when I shop at Amazon I have the option of using that gift card.

1. Play Swagbucks Games – Over HERE you can see what games they have that you can play, I don’t like playing games on the computer, but I get my kids to do it!

2. Swagbucks Fabebook – Follow Swagbucks on Facebook! There is so much information on here and great ideas of what works to get more bucks!

3. Swagbucks on Twitter – Follow them on Twitter! I am not a Twitter user… but I know that many of you are. You will get exclusive codes and there are weekly winners of 100 Swagbucks.

Friday is Mega Swagbucks day, that means that you should get more bucks today doing searches. Some of you have been looking for ways to get more Swagbucks and so I wanted to take a few Fridays to point out some of the ways that I use to find my Swagbucks.

1. Each day you can take a “poll” on Swagbucks. This will get you 1 buck, but it takes about 10 seconds. You can find it HERE or if you are on the main page look under the “earn” tab.

2. Install the Swagbucks toolbar. You can do that HERE. Just for having the tool bar each day they will give you a buck. It also helps you to remember to use Swagbucks and it will allow them to notify you of free swag codes in the tool bar. I have so much “clutter” on my laptop from blogging that I don’t have the tool bar on it. But I do have it on my desk top and my computer at work. I earn more from the computers that I have it on, then the laptop.

3. Recycle your old cell phones and earn Swagbucks. I have not done this one yet as my little kids think my old cell phones are the coolest thing EVER! As soon as I am able to pry them away form them and turn them in, I want to do it for Swagbucks. You can go HERE and see what yours might be worth. Swagbucks will pay for the shipping for you to send it in, you will be able to print off a pre-paid label and mail it in.

** Wowza! There is some good news coming out of Swagbucks today!

The standing policy for Swagbucks.com has always been “One Account Per Household”, meaning that if a user tried to refer a roommate, spouse or sibling, they would be unsuccessful and would be subject to the possible deactivation of their account. As our Compliance team has developed more and more sophisticated ways to detect user fraud, we’re excited to announce a change to our policy and allow each member of your household to have their own account.

A few things to keep in mind:

• We won’t be linking accounts if one of you doesn’t refer the other.
• This policy is in effect moving forward, and doesn’t retroactively apply to older situations where multiple accounts in a household were discovered.
• We’re still only allowing one account per individual. Multiple accounts per person are still expressly prohibited and will be shut down.

What all of this means is that you can now refer your spouse, brother, sister, roommate, live-in aunt or any other person in your household, making for more swagging fun in every house! We’re very excited to have this change take effect, because it allows us to include a lot more people in the Swag Nation.

As you know Fridays are mega swagbuck days. This means that you can typically win more Swagbucks doing searches then normal. I don’t see a huge difference, but some people swear by Fridays! I am slow and steady, I get my 70 a day that I shoot for!

Here are the ways I get the most Swagbucks:

• I downloaded and use their tool bar, it also gives me free Swagbucks
• I use Swagbucks FIRST instead of Google, then I “google”!

Now that it is July, I start cashing in my Swagbucks slowly so that I have them for Christmas. Here are some things to keep in mind.

• You can only “cash in” 2 rewards a day. So you don’t want to wait until the end of November, you wont be able to cash them all in for Christmas (unless you do 1 BIG gift card)
• You can only get 5 of the same prizes or gift cards a month.
• They “deposit” the Gift cards into your account 2x a month. If I cash in some Swagbucks for a $5 Amazon gift card today, I might not be able to use them today. They are delivered on the 1st and 15th of the month.
• Then I just get the code off the Amazon gift cards I get, then copy them to my Amazon account and my money is there for me to use.

I figure if I strive for my 70 a day, then I will have about $300 for Christmas, plus I signed up my Mom and a couple friends this year and so I should have about $425-$450. That takes a HUGE bite out of my Christmas!

* If you are new they start you off with 30 Swagbucks.

The key is after you sign up, sign up a few friends. You can go to the Swagbucks page and on the left side it says “invite friends” follow the directions from there!

** You DO NOT have to only get Amazon gift cards, there are 1,000’s of prizes!!! I use this as part of my Christmas fund, so I have only ever gotten Amazon cards!

I am at $220 this week for the year so far, good dent into my Christmas shopping!
