Walgreens is the source of much frustration for many people including me. You never know what to expect when checking out, the cashiers and managers are always “making up” new rules when you use coupons. Nothing is ever consistent with them, and their program is confusing to begin with. But even though I swear I will never go back in I always end up back in there trying again. I know many of you only have a Walgreens and so you have no choice but to shop there so I keep trying to do the deals there so I can post them.


My biggest complaint with them is the ability to combine coupons and get back Register Rewards. Check out the Dulcolax FREE after Register Reward advertised on page 16 of the ad in the left column. It shows how you can combine a manufacturer coupons with a Register Reward deal and still GET the Register Reward back! I would save this ad and keep it with you at all times. If you have any cashiers or manager tell you that you cannot use a manufacturer coupon on a Register Reward deal, then just show them this ad. It’s proof that you can do so! Yay! Thanks for noticing this AGAIN Collin.

This week at Walgreens , they have Almay cosmetics on sale for buy one get one free. In the October Walgreens coupon booklet they also have a $3/1 Almay bright eyes coupon.

Deal Scenario:
Buy two Almay Bright Eyes Cosmetic Products $8.99 each
Minus BOGO sale=$8.99 for both
Use 2 $1/1 Almay manufacturer coupons from the 8/2 or 9/13SS
Plus, use the $3/1 Walgreens coupon from the October coupon booklet
(will deduct $6 since you’re purchasing two)
Final cost $0.49 each!

**Even if you don’t have the $1/1 manufacturer coupons, you’ll still only be paying $1.50 per item! Also, remember that if you purchase 2, 4, 6 or more of these in one transaction, you will still ONLY need to use one Walgreens $3/1 coupon. It will deduct $3 off each item you purchase–no matter how many you snag!

When I was at Walgreens yesterday i was trying to figure out a way to get the cough drops for a better deal than I was finding. Collin figured out a way to do it!

Deal Scenario:
Buy Ricola Natural Mixed Berry Cough Drops $1.99
Buy any other variety Ricola Cough Drops $1.99
Total=$3.98
Use the buy one get one free coupon from the 10/11SS
(will deduct $1.99)
Plus, use the $0.50/1 Walgreens coupon from the Healthy Savings Booklet
(will deduct $1 for purchasing 2)
And finally use the in ad coupon–which will make them 2/$3
(will deduct a total of $0.98)
