CVS Coupon Policy Change 09/2012

CVS has another coupon policy change this week. It is slight, but notable. Get the new CVS coupon policy HERE.

CVS/pharmacy will not accept third party manufacturers’ coupons with another retailer’s logo note: a manufacturer coupon that states “available at” with no logo WILL be accepted.

When you clip a coupon, or print a coupon, the ones that say “available at” but don’t have a logo, CAN be used at CVS. The ones that say “redeemable at” usually have a store logo and CAN’T be used.

Don’t forget that CVS is offering DOUBLE quarterly rewards this next quarter starting on the 16th, (the same day Walgreens rolls out their new program). You will need to go HERE and sign up to be in the double program.

Your quarterly ExtraBucks Rewards will double to 4% on all eligible over-the-counter items purchased from 09/16/12 (or date of sign up after 09/16/12) to 12/15/12. Quarterly ExtraBucks Rewards will be available on your store receipt, ExtraCare Coupon Center or CVS.com 01/01/13-02/14/13.

Walgreens Balance Rewards Card Program 09/16/12

Walgreens is rolling out their new Balance Rewards program in just a few days. I wanted to go over what this means and what you need to do.

You will need to sign up and create an account to get your card. You can do that now, even though the program doesn’t start until the 16th of September.

  • Customers can join in one easy step in stores at checkout or any photo kiosk, online at walgreens.com/balance or with their mobile devices and begin earning points immediately for their purchases.
  • Members receive exclusive savings every week on popular products.
  • Savings and points can be easily earned when members show their Balance Rewards card, provide their telephone number or scan their mobile phone.
  • Members can easily access their point totals and see how many points they need until their next reward at checkout, online or through their mobile device.

Instant Points

  • Members can instantly earn and redeem points for thousands of items in store and online.1
  • Members will earn points for activities that help them stay well, like Walk with Walgreens, immunizations and — where states allow — for RX.2

Endless Rewards

  • Members can redeem points immediately in-store or online for a little something special or hold off until they have earned more points for an even greater reward.
